Beautiful film. Great film. Villeneuve can crush.

I was noting the story structure in simplified terms.

🔸 We start with our dream, our world, mother, training, characters.

🔸 Act 2 launches as a test and revelation of true heritage. The true nature of our journey and potential thickens.

🔸 Midpoint feels to me like primarily betrayal, a twist, a potential glimpse of a story outcome.

🔸 Mother and son are isolated, on the run, and trapped in the sand storm as we lead into Act 3.

🔸 It wraps up well, with a "belonging" in the desert paired with a sort of beginning and new start.

I will have to watch again and pay more attention to detail to get a deeper opinion of the film's structure. Regardless, it was a great watch.

I look forward to Part 2 and pretty much whatever else Villeneuve does.

Well, I still prefer the movie Dune by David Lynch. That's cult. This one is not.
