I’ve always disliked horror movies, usually the plot is weak, the acting is bad and the main purpose of those directors is making us jump up on our seat. It’s not like I didn’t try, I’ve watched dozens but only this one was really great and probably only about five I’d say are decent.

The Shining is a masterpiece. Easily goes in the top 100% movies of all time. Hey, the director is one of the greats, Stanley Kubrick, one of those very few filmmakers able to succeed at making awesome movies from different genres.
The Shining got everything, a scary hotel, perfect acting, exciting scenes and it makes you uncomfortable but at the same time so intrigued. Definitely a must see.
