I have got to be the world's worst photographer!
I posted yesterday about something big happening this year and whether it turns out to be good or bad is going to be an individual issue that depends upon whether or not you're prepared... some people will get rich and some will stick with the current system and wind up broke. My friend for over a year, @scan0017, who I met discussing Vidalia onions of all things, asked me to do a post today outlining what I'm doing. So for anyone interested- here's my $0.02!
First I have to power down to repay $3000 I borrowed to keep my granddaughter safe from CPS... that is priority #1. Then I'm putting money into cryptos and silver. BTC (Bitcoin) is the biggest and universally accepted so it's important to have some of that. I also have LTC (Litecoin) an even better investment in my opinion- I'll explain in a bit. When I first started in cryptos I knew nothing so I listened to everyone- why not, they all knew more than me. Now I listen to 3- Bix Weir (Road to Roota) for cryptos and silver, Clif High for cryptos and Bo Polny for silver.
Bix and Clif agree that LTC should trade at around 4:1 or 5:1 with BTC... They also agree that BTC should hit $100,000 by the end of the year. LTC is around $220 today and a good buy and should hit $20,000 or $25,000 by years end. I have 6 now and plan on having 10 by years end (and 1 whole BTC if I'm lucky). Now a little bit more on what to be prepared for... If you read my posts yesterday you know that a financial upheaval is imminent. Bix believes that there's good people in government and at the Fed working behind the scenes that will smooth things out when the SHTF. I believe that there are good people there who will TRY to make a smooth transition from a fiat to a crypto based economy...
what will happen is anybody's guess. I'm not as optimistic as Bix- I say hope for the best, prepare for the worst.
Also, and this is critical- DO NOT keep your cryptos in an online wallet or exchange! I got a notification from Bittrex (where I currently have my LTC and a few little ones- some SALT and ADX) that they've changed their terms of service. I've sent for a Trezor offline wallet for my LTC and little bit of BTC. Don't keep more than you can afford to lose online. Another good investment is Steem or SBD... the social media platforms are beginning to crack down and censor anyone dissenting the MSM narrative. Twitter, Google and YouTube are terminating accounts and removing videos on the flimsiest of excuses. The SGT Report did a great video about it today (links to this and an article about Google censorship at the end). Steemit is censorship-free and will attract a lot of people fed up with censorship making both Steem & SBD's a good investment.
SILVER- This is also really important! Cryptos are great and the financial wave of the future... but if the power grid goes down, even temporarily, you're broke until it gets back up. Get physical silver, not silver futures. The paper silver derivatives market will crash along with fiat- in fact it will hasten it. Get the real thing- @pit-bullion has a Steemit page and are good people... I also like to do business with people who support Steemit. JM Bullion is also good and has excellent prices. I try to buy collectables that are just a little over spot. Another good guy who knows silver and is on Steemit is @raybrockman.
I love this country and its people and I pray for a smooth transition, but something big is about to happen. The Deep State is desperate and accelerating their attacks on our freedoms. I don't think they want or will allow a smooth transition, just like after the election. The president is in grave danger and I'm certain he knows it. Hopefully he will arrest those responsible. If you start now, when the SHTF (and I'm positive it will be this year) you'll be prepared. God Bless and May God Bless America!

Strange and interesting times to be sure. Reading your post I'm amazed how much knowledge you've accumulated since you started here on Steemit!

EDIT: When I bought a guitar, amp, case, etc for over $1000 last summer I proudly announced I was buying it with magic internet money.
I think out of the first $500 I made I probably gave $300 of it away.
A trezor is the donkeys nuts, good nice to store your stuff there!
All I have to do now is figure out how to use it!!! When I was young all we had to store our stuff in was tree trunks!
It's a piece of piss honest! Connect it up and wallet on screen with easy interface... Now, compare that to the nano ledger which appears to have been designed by a mad c u next Tuesday and they are worlds apart!
I love Cliff High and I agree from what I can get from scanning the data online something big is up not just in the government but also the ring of fire.
All my crypto except sbd and sp are off line and my gold and silver are garden seeds. I am too poor for gold and silver. People can give me their gold and silver for garden seeds...hahaha
Also we have bug out plans to get out of the city fast if there are riots. We will go to a friends farm far away from any city and have alternative routes planned. This plan is also for natural disasters, that reminds me I need to go through my bug out bag! We just changed our vehicles oil and tires too!
Hopefully all this will blow over and things will calm down. I read people are very anxious and not sleeping well right now. I suggest to stop watching news and Tv, you all will sleep better, I promise!
I haven't owned a TV in 4 years... if they ever start broadcasting nonfiction, I'll buy one! If you have seeds (and know how to use them) you'll be very valuable when the SHTF! Part of my homeschooling curriculum was growing a garden, how to compost and make natural insecticides (my kids hated it!!!)

I usually keep my stuff off market in either paperwallet or in device wallet. I never used trezor or any other hardware wallet, just simple things.
