Galata Bridge istanbul

in #fish7 years ago

Famous for fish take a walk along the bridge following the river cruise. There are lots of fisherman fishing off the bridge and there is a constant flow of people crossing the water. If you walk along the bottom level of the bridge there are fish restaurants which I hear are some of the best - however I did not sample any. The original Galata bridge was constructed in 1845 however the one that stands today (the fifth) was completed in the 1990's.

the best fish sandwich ever!! Af
ter a long day wandering on the streets of Istanul and visiting wonderful places, on the way to our hotel we got off from the tram on the northern end of this bridge.
There we discovered, near a fish market, many stands where fishermen-cooks prepared the most amazing fish take-aways: fish, lemon, mint, chilly,... (I drool only remembering!..)
Do not worry about the site looks or about the freshness (the fish is taken out ofthe water just minutes ago) or higiene staff - never heard about one person having stomach trouble from there.
In addition, you can walk a few steps away, on the bridge, and have a dinner with a great view! Sunset time? You can add this reason for not missing such a dish!
