Hello my dear Steemit people!
So today I am writing to you about outdoor sports! Since today was a really hot day, I decided to go HIKING instead of going to the GYM! What outdoor sports do you prefer and why? For example I like hiking because it gives me a feeling of accomplishment when I reach the top, even though the trail was a bit hard. It can also be a life quote, don't you think? Per aspera ad astra!
In Zagreb we have Medvednica mountain! It is very popular for anyone who loves to hike, or even for people who just love nature. Sljeme is the mountain peak of Medvednica, the highest peak, at 1,035 metres. Medvednica has a numerous of trails to choose from it varieties the easiest to the hardest. And if you are the type to just sit back and relax, you can drive to the top by car and have a coffee or a lunch and enjoy the view.
Today we started to hit the trail number 13, called Kraljicin Zdenac. Medvednica mountain is full of various legends and history. Each trail has it's own story. Kraljicin Zdenac trail was built in the 19th century by Miroslav Kulmer who built the trail for his wife.
The trail is one of the easiest ones. It is 3.43 km long.
Usually I go hiking during the weekdays because of the rush on weekends. I always take my dogs with me, the love it as much as I do. So when you don't want to do cardio at the gym, go for a hike or for a long walk in nature.
