About a month ago I announced that I want to try a challenge. The challenge of writing some piece of code for 100 days in a row. Also, I said I want to update my progress here on steemit -> Fail. I want to explain why I did not post anything about it in this article.

Am I still doing it?
Short answer: yes. And I am totally addicted to it. About 40 days ago I was playing video games nearly every evening for about 2 hours. Some Final Fantasy here, some Fortnite there I just had fun. Then, I started the challenge. Instead of playing video games I was now programming every evening. I started with a small Flutter project to create similar game mechanics like my favorite game Puzzle&Dragons. After I started to convert my web blog to an App with FLutter. This progress I liked so much that I made the repository private. I want to publish it as my product in the first half of 2020. Because I am so excited about this idea, I nearly stopped playing video games. Mostly I just play on my phone on the train to work. At home, I wasn't playing for over a month until yesterday. I definitely see progress in myself and hope I can keep up here.
Why am I not posting anything about it?
The answer to this question is pretty easy as well: Time. I am a father and I am working 38 h/w with 1 1/2h daily way. I come home from work, take some time with my son and my wife until they go to bed. After I program for 1-3 hours. So this 1-3 hours a day is my only me-time in the week. I use this time to program as much as I can. After I try to log my daily work and post a tweet about it. And guess what: I am not even doing a tweet every day. It only takes a few seconds but seconds I like more to take for some coding or going to bed earlier (also I would have to do the tweet right before bedtime. A time my brain stops thinking already). So if I am not even able to do a tweet, writing a post about it is more unlikely.
I still want to just publish my daily log here on steemit as well. My only "problem" is that I do not want to publish a post here anymore without a picture. So maybe I will do a template where I can just change the number of my day.
Wish you all the best!
I made a similar experience when I started programming.
Believe me, the time will come where you will play your own games on your mobile phone.
