This will most certainly gross out the hardcore vegetarians and vegans, who i fully respect and understand..... But as a meat lover and a roast lover this is just to die for!

These are beef cheeks..... Now everytime i discuss these with people they automatically assume beef cheeks to be, well... ye as you can imagine hahaha the cows bum cheeks.
This is certainly not the case...... Beef cheeks are the cheeks in the face.... And these are to die for if done right.
Im going to give you the easiest way to make these and you will have one of the cheapest meals you can imagine because beef cheeks per kilo price is not that much ( check with your local butcher )

To get these magic cheeks happening get a good size fry pan on the heat with some vegetable oil, once hot fry off the beef cheeks 2 at a time depending on how many you are cooking. Make sure you give them a nice dark brown color. Once fried off in the same pan fry off some diced white onion until golden brown. Place your cheeks back into the same pan and pour in half a bottle of red wine, a tablespoon of smoked paprika, a half a cup of water and a few cloves of garlic or a big tablespoon of confit garlic.
Cover with tin foil and place in oven on 200 degrees for around 3 hours.
Once you have finished cooking them, remove from the pan and place the pan back onto your gas or electric stove burner and boil the sauce. Continue to boil until you have a nice thicker sauce. Make sure you season the sauce. Place the cheeks back into the pan to cover them with the delicious sauce.

These can be served with anything. From as easy as mash potato to something with a bit more of a twist above, spiced rice stir fry with some dried cranberries. You really will impress your friends with this, and many restaurants will charge over $30 AUD for these

Enjoy
