Food and Health Awareness | Bloating and Food

in #food6 years ago (edited)

Hey folks @cryptokraze here with another food and health awareness topic. Let's talk about something uncomfortable, gas and bloating. According to Brigham and Women Hospital, most people spend between 12 and 25 times pass gases a day, and surveys have shown that flatulence affects up to 30% of Americans. Cynthia Sass, MPH, RD, Health Promotion Officer, said, "It was abnormal to have a completely flat stomach." After eating and drinking, food and fluids take some space in the stomach and cause flatulence "

A swollen abdomen does not necessarily indicate a problem with what you eat, but if your abdomen swells in your jeans, you may want to determine abdominal distension in your diet.

Whether we are willing to admit it or not, everyone receives natural gas from time to time. The gas is caused by the decomposition of food in the air and in the digestive tract.

The consequences are generally snuffling, the feeling of bloating or the passage of gas. Some people have more gas than others, which may be painful or awkward. However, natural gas itself is not an alarm.

Foods that Cause Bloating

Broccoli, Cabbage,Kale

Kale, broccoli, and cabbage are cruciferous vegetables and contain raffinose, a type of sugars that can only be digested when bacteria in the intestines ferment them, producing gases in the stomach, in turn, cause swelling. So keep eating green things, but keep the portion in a limit.

Legumes

Beans and lentils, soybeans and peas are foods that cause gas. They contain sugar and fiber that our body cannot absorb. Thus, when the beans reach the large intestine, your intestinal bacteria ferment them. This process leads to gasoline and can make you height flatulent.

Apples

An apple a day can prevent you from visiting a doctor's office, but it does not prevent bloating. The fiber content is high. Apples also contain fructose and sorbitol. Some people cannot digest the sugar in the fruit, resulting in gas and a feeling of bloating.

Foods that Delay Bloating

Cucumber

Vegetables contain quercetin, a flavonoid antioxidant that helps decrease swelling.

"Cucumber has the ability to stop the activity of pro-inflammatory enzymes.

Bananas

Foods like banana, avocados, kiwis, oranges, and pistachios, are rich in potassium and prevent salt retention by regulating sodium levels in the body to prevent bloating due to salts.

Papaya

The papaya enzyme (papain) helps break down proteins in the gastrointestinal system and aids digestion. Prevent the formation of abdominal bloating.

Ginger

Ginger is the favored treatment for muscle aches, colds, cramps, nausea, and also bloating. Ginger is a natural anti-inflammatory and aids in all-star digestion. It can soothe the digestive system, relax the gastrointestinal muscles and relieve bloating.

I get this very often or rather more often than I would like since im eating clean and when I do try to sneak in something unhealthy my stomach goes awol

I don't know much about the bodies reaction to certain foods so I really value this post and im glad I found it. Will definatley go a long way from keeping me from getting those tummy issues

Yeah this is quite enlightening
@cryptokraze, thanks for sharing

Yeah, now that I read this I see it's true that the time I was having too much gas I was hooked on beans and salad (containing cabbage) at the time.

And now that I read this I've gotten even more confirmation that my body always feel like eating foods that are a cure to the problem it faces at the moment, meaning if I'm having a problem that say yoghurt can solve I'll feel like taking yoghurt without even knowing that it was the cure, I'll just feel like taking it. I discovered my body works like that. I keep getting the confirmation to this when I read write-ups about foods just like this one. When I used to have flatulence I always feel like taking papaya and cucumber, and when I take them the problem always reduces.

Some other stuff I take when I'm having tummy issues is yoghurt though, it works a great lot, and with 4G speed too! 😀

it can be caused by low stomach acid

Eat healthy and don't do drugs

You are welcome :)

the food is well suited to the diet, consumed in an integrated

Legumes are the worst culprit here. They make you always release gases that smells so bad you wish you can run away from yourself.

Very good post, the best thing to avoid stomach problems is good food, fruits and healthy food that are easily digested and do not cause constipation. Your publication is very explanatory.
I would love to have your support in my publications ...

Your amazing postings I see, read, enjoy and innovative, can add knowledge, thanks for sharing.

Thank you! I know that digestive health is important for the whole body, but until it doesn't hurt I usually don't pay much attention to it. Less sugar more action and we will be fine 😉

Hola @cryptokraze, muy buen post, es una informacion muy utilt, cariños y besos.

Loved it. I am on keto diet and having my own brew kambucha daily. I noticed big changes :)

To calm down bloating before going to bed I drink a glass of water with a spoon of cumin. It is said that Cumin seed (that you can chew alternatively and then swallow with water when it has formed a paste un your mouth) contain carminative and are antispasmodic which ease pain cause by gas and reduce gas in the digestive system.
I'm no doctor but I have found this to be helpful.

This is very informative..
