Things I do every morning, which might help you too!!

in #food7 years ago (edited)

I usually love mornings rather than other parts of the day because I believe morning habits matters in entire day progress and flourishes our healthy lifestyle.

So let’s start,
As soon as I wake up, my wife and I sit 20 min practicing meditation with some relaxed music. It helps me to improve my concentration and get rid of external and internal stresses. I would love to do this every single morning but, sometimes (very few times), unfortunately, I cannot make up some time for it.
Next, is having green tea.

Most people do not like to have green tea because of its bitter taste and so I until I discovered this recipe. I usually boil water on the stove and meanwhile I add few drops of lemon, a table spoon of honey and few mint leaves. It not only refreshes my entire body system but also tastes awesome. I love to have it every single morning before my workout because it has many antioxidants and refreshing characteristics which give me a quick start to workout.

My wife feels yoga is the best relaxing workout ever. So, together we workout for some time with additional cardio exercises. Yoga can also help with many chronic pains with increased flexibility. There are massive benefits of yoga and every single pose of it acts like a medicine to repair the body part. Following that, I drink lots of water to flush out toxins and maintain metabolism. You can add oranges, grapefruit into it as it quickly retains the lost minerals while workout in the form of sweat.

Next, comes my breakfast, eating some nutritious breakfast is always a better start of the day. We usually eat cereals or granola as my breakfast. It contains milk, oats, raisins, banana, almonds, flax seeds, some kind of berries like strawberries and blueberries and some seeds of a pomegranate. Each item has its own benefits like a banana with high potassium value, oats are rich in fibre, flax seeds are high in omega 3 fatty acids, berries especially strawberries are a good source of vitamin C and much more. We enjoy the breakfast with sharing thoughts and ideas about the following hours of the day.

These are the main habits we enjoy every morning without fail. Hope you enjoy reading it. Adopting a Healthy lifestyle is always a better idea. I would love to hear some other healthy lifestyles from you which might help me too.

My morning routine ideally would be:

  • not clicking the snooze-button
  • pushups and situps
  • talk to my creator

That's a great routine @steemboys. Honestly speaking, I click snooze button every morning. I need to get rid of that habit somehow.

Most people don't even think about having breakfast, but without it it would be even harder for me to wake up in the morning. Your morning sounds great - full of positive energy and it sounds like you're living a healthy life :)
I eat breakfast everyday, of course there are exceptions, but that's my way of having a great start into a wonderful day! The exercise part sounds a little bit too much for me that early in the morning, but you should definitely keep doing it if you enjoy it! I'll definitely try the tea :)

Thanks, @theywillkillyou. You will surely love the tea.

@dommaraju good! A morning habit everyone must cultivate, and/or replace with heavy eating. I enjoy those too but not always (When chanced). However, mine's with diced apples and Bananas. Stawberrys are only good in summer(When they are natural).

:D

I love meditation and yoga in the morning, it really does change your outlook on the entire day. Green tea is definitely an acquired taste but in my opinion it is worth it.

What i don't miss every morning is my breakfast because People who do not take breakfast are going to have a lower blood sugar level , is the most important food within the day. I love meditation but i dont get time to do it everymorning. I train not more than one hour everymorning to keep fit. Nice post

Thanks, @jacksonoskele. Yes, breakfast is a significant meal as it maintains metabolism. So I spend more time and money for that.:)

I am an engineering student and sadly my morning begins with me waking up at 12 in the moon , oh god what i would not do to have a morning like yours !!!

I feel you need more time. No problem my friend @chapterclosed you can make it soon.

Agree with u, morning activity before breakfast can help maintain my body.. do excercise.. eat more healthy food in the morning.. just my experience.. no gym at all..

Win the morning, win the day! ;)

I also like to remind myself every single day that I will encounter negative influences no matter what I do and that this is an unavoidable occurrence. This helps to do avoid dwelling on any of these occurences and simply see them as something that is part of the day and only holds the weight we allow it.

Great one :)

Great piece of advice!

From the sounds of it those are really good habits you have. Quick question, what time do you get up in the morning to be able to meditate, workout, and have the breakfast routine? Really curious how you split your time. Thanks in advance!

Its so simple @cosmir . we wake up at 5 am and we share our works to finish them quickly. Preparation of breakfast hardly takes 5 min as we mix whole ingredients on weekends itself, just adding few fruits won't take much time. :)

I usually have some cold-brewed coffee ready in the morning, but I also always make green ice tea, so I can choose depending what I feel like that day. I'll post the recipe at some point. I think most people don't know how to prepare green tea (water at around 80° depending on the tea, second flush etc), that's why they don't like it. Also, if you ice it, you won't taste the bitterness!

I would love to hear the recipe soon. @isthmus

I love meditation too. I practice when I'm feel stressed and help me a lot!

True @stephan it does have many benefits.

I love meditation and yoga in the morning, it really does change your outlook on the entire day. Green tea is definitely an acquired taste but in my opinion it is worth it.

Sounds like you have a pretty healthy day-to-day lifestyle.

Awesome stuff. Meditating, green tea, yoga, healthy breakfast.. You're definitely on the right path :) Nice post @Dommaraju. Talk soon.

@enazwahsdarb Thanks a lot. You could do the same, if you liked it.

Coffee, croissant, egg......... Make my day having a good start :-)

+1 for meditation. When I get the chance I "journal" as well!

I also love to practice sports and to take breakfast with my husband. We drink a black coffee in place of the green tea ,we also eats cereals with almonds , fruits and white cheese. The white cheese contains the casein which is a protein with slow assimulation so it help us to not be hungry until the lunch :-)

Se oye muy bien esa rutina. Seria excelente adoptarla. Gracias por compartirla.

That's a great way to start the day.

I wake up, drink lots of water, eat my overnight oats and get to work by riding the bike. My mornings are quicker than yours. But I'm happy with the way I start things off. So, I'm able to get home early from work. ;)

Morning is the best part of the day!

There are some great 1 month fresh teas coming from Nepal/India directly, it would look like advertsing if I post it here. But really those were the best teas I have ever ordered online and there are hundreds of sorts and they offer free DHL shipping on orders above 50$. I won't post https link because it would look like an ad, check it when you have time, you won't be disappointed, great for detox and concentration.

Oh that sounds cool. Ill check them for sure.

This article is very helpful and very useful, I actually do not like to eat vegetables, after I read your experience story, I am inspired and finally I try to like vegetables and fruits. Really a very useful article.
@steemit
@photography
@streetactivity

Thank you so much :) . I'd be very happy if my routine helped you. @khairulfatta

One thing i like to do right after i wake up, is elevate my feet. Getting your circulation going right after sleeping helps more than you might think.

Oh, that sounds great @supremenyc. Keep doing.

i do the same thinngs everyday

Keep Doing :)

Week days my routine consists of rolling out of bed, having a shower etc, going to work, then waking up

Bit confusing, but understood :)

Your post very helpful. I have some cold milk ready in the morning and Kellogg's.I follow you.Upvote me !

hmmmm, it will be good to let us know how you are able to archive it most morning, bcos for you now, it has becom a character but for us that would like to start it, we need tips

It would be simple when you scheduled you daily routine my friend @aircypto. So that you can follow the same everyday.

The biggest help I found in the morning is a spoonful of raw organic honey. It energises you almost immediately and sets you up for the day and it is very easy to do.

Yes @psychlux. I do prefer raw organic honey.

A perfect recipe. Not so long ago, I also started to wake up at 6 am, exercise and eat right. Since then, I feel great, now I will add thanks to you a new morning dish!

Sound so like you 2 have a great start to your days. I do enjoy the green tea and thanks for adding your recipe for it. First time I tried green tea I could not drink it because of the bitter taste but I do like lemon in my tea so I tried it with lemon and a little honey and have been drinking it with no problem ever since. I don't drink mine in the morning though. I am slowly weening myself off of coffee so I still have to have my cup of coffee in the morning. Your exercise and meditation sound like a great start in the morning. I'm usually doing stretches to get going in the mornings but breakfast I share somewhat the same with oats and berries and a banana. Keep up the healthy mornings and a great start to your days.

Thank you for inspiring.:)

Good post. Very informative and useful . These are winning traits for everyone to follow in promoting good health and inner peace and harmony. Good work and content. Will continue to follow your post. Good job.

Sounds like a good routine! I start my mornings with tea too, but I usually drink mint tea though. Store bought green tea with mint flavour, or just plain hot water with fresh mint leaves and some honey (my favorite). After that, I eat yoghurt with fruit, oatmeal and nuts every morning :-)

Thats a great start. keep doing :)

Cool. You're right, the morning sets the stage for the rest of the day. The first thing I usually do in the morning is use a tongue scraper to get that filth off my tongue. Yuck! I posted about it on my page. It's surprisingly useful. I can't believe I went so long without one! Also, I listen to audio (podcasts, etc.) in the morning and drink bulletproof coffee. Then hope on the computer like a mad man :)

I am sure you drink water, as well! I love green tea and the SCIENCE over at www.nutritionfacts.org talks (peer reviewedly) about the benefits of green tea... If there was one simple tip everyone could do almost without thinking would be to, drink two to three (minimum) sips of water.

I also love yoga and am ready to travel as far as I need to to find a yoga studio that I can clean and live near affordability . . .

BleSS!

~MUM~

OH ALSO, (have you ever given almond milk a shot?) Lot's better than cow milk for your prostate and hormones :)

I will surely try it.

"I add few drops of lemon, a table spoon of honey and few mint leaves." Thanks, I will try this very soon.

Everyone has different morning routines. So it's important for the individual to experiment until they find a routine that makes them feel ready to tackle on the day.

I'm getting back to yoga and getting into the habit of meditating and eating healthier.. it's tough in NYC always on the go never enough time etc... so u received my upvote
