~ Most people here in Philippines could not afford expensive dishes.
However, there are many ways of saving money for foods. Im going to share one of the affordable dish for you.
If you are interested, please read this. ^_^
~ Lumpia means Spring Rolls in Tagalog. It can be fresh veggies filled in or ground beef.
I think what the name "Lumpiang Shanghai" really means is that it is cooked in the chinese style.(I'm not sure)
This is indeed the favorite appetizer of Filipinos, It can come with white rice if you want. It is a good combinations too. This is very popular and they always serve it in parties.(to all occasions)
Where there are Filipinos gathering, there would be lumpiang shanghai for sure!
This Lumpia that I cooked today is special because i put red hot chilis in it so it is very spicy but DEFINITELY delicious!
Went to Market
I first went to the market 1 tricy ride from home. I brought my baby with me(because no one will watch her).
I couldn't leave her with her dad anymore because she's been so grumpy that she always find her mommy.
I didn't have a choice but bring her with me even It's freaking hot outside(LoL)
Thank god! she didn't cry...
I decided to cook something very easy to make, because I need to rush everything due to "I do everything!"(lol)
It's very hard to focus on one thing when your head is like almost exploding because of thinking what do i really need to do first? Indeed being full-time mom is never easy. My secret now to maintain happiness behind tireness is just smile and play with my daughter, hug your love one for a little while when your'e doing nothing.
Yay! SUPER MOMMY!
Hi Mommies ^_^
So here are the ingredients I bought in the market.
- 1/4 Kilo of ground beef

- Salt and Pepper(magic sarap)
ONLY FOR $4! You will be full and satisfied! ^_^
- Put all the chopped ingrediets in a big bowl then mix it. Add salt and pepper to taste or magic sarap.
- Then separate all the Spring roll wrapper.
- Put a little about of oil in a mini bowl( for the wrapper to stick and seal)
- Put the mixed ingredients in a wrapper then pat into a long shape and fold over.
- Fold the two sides towards the center then roll
- Put a little oil to the corner to stick and seal it.
- Deep fry a few pieces at a time in medium heat for 4 minutes until golden brown
- Finally! Drain it then SERVE Hot.

I'm drooling.
I always look for this every time I go to parties, never go to a party without lumpiang shanghai :-)
I prefer this than lumpiang sariwa.
Here in Tarlac, we sometimes use tinapa instead of beef, especially pag taghirap days lol, both taste great.
I'll ask my wife to make spicy one for me next time but maybe paminta lang cguro. I don't know why but I prefer the spiciness of pepper than chili.
P.S.
Natawa ako dito
tricy ride from home
Mapapaikli pa pala ang tricycle lol.
