Indonesian Nusantara Food, Pacri Nanas version of Aceh

During my visit to Pangkal Pinang, Riau Islands recently, in my series of job visits, pineapple pacri became one of the special treats. Mixed sweet, sour, savory flavor together in a bite of pineapple pacri. This unique blend of flavors makes the hand seem unwilling to take just one big slice of pineapple.

Pacri pineapple is a typical Malay cuisine. This cuisine is very popular in areas with Malay cultural culinary traits. These foods will be easy to find in cities like Pontianak, Medan, Palembang, Riau, Banjarmasin and Aceh.

Pacri pineapple is a typical Malay cuisine consisting of pieces of pineapple seasoned with red onion, garlic, bay leaf and lemongrass. This time we will ingredient pacra pineas ala Aceh. In Aceh itself, this food is one of the typical food and many found. Usually there is any wedding or celebration party, this pineapple pacri must be one of the mandatory menu.

INGREDIENTS :

• 1 pineapple
• 150 ml of water, to boil
• Fry oil
• 2 cloves
• 4 cm cinnamon
• 3 grains of red onion, thinly sliced
• 2 pieces of white bwang and thinly sliced
• Lawing flowers
• 10 pieces of red pepper, and halve
• Salt to taste
• Pandan leaves

HOW TO MAKE PACRI NANAS :

  • Peel the pineapple, split into 4 parts, then slice the fan-shaped wedge.

  • Heat cooking oil in frying pan, saute cloves, cinnamon, onion, garlic, red chili pieces, pandan leaves for 1 minute until fragrant and withered.

  • Put enough salt to taste.

  • Enter the pineapple and stir the pineapple evenly.

  • Add water that has been prepared for the pineapple to wither and berkuah. Put a few moments, pineapple pacar ready to serve.
