Have you ever tried coconut ice cream?
If you have ever visited Thailand, you have probably tried Mango Sticky Rice for desert.
Or breakfast.
Really, this plate full of sweetness overload is good any time of the day...
Well, check this out: Coconut Ice Cream is like Mango Sticky Rice ++!
After having passed the ice cream stall close to Tha Phae Gate in Chiang Mai (Thailand) multiple times, I had to try it.
And that was just one of those enlightening moments…
Why had I NEVER stopped to try this before? Seriously, I don’t know what I was thinking.
But better late than never, right?
Here is how coconut ice cream is made, Thai Style!
First sticky rice, which has been sweetened with sugar, is scooped into a plastic lid.
Then…ice cream!! Not just one, but a 3-4 yummy scoops!
Next, add some freshly chopped ripe mango.
More please. LOVE that stuff…
Add a cherry on top.
And there it is: a coconut ice cream in all its glory. Nomnomnom!
Just look at this: doesn't this want to make you jump straight on a plane to Thailand to get you some of this yumminess?
So gooooood.....
This is the second post in what I intend to be a long-lasting series:
We could all benefit from living more in the moment, and experiencing that sense of wonder we as adults often have lost along the way. This is also why I chose my Steemit name: @livenowandwow. It serves as a friendly reminder to myself – and hopefully also to you, as a reader – to not take what we have for granted, but appreciate it.
And trying out new foods is one of the ways to accomplish that!
