FOOD RECIPE #5 - CHICKEN AFRITADA!

in #food6 years ago

Hi Steemians,

EVERYBODY LOVES CHICKEN! - I remembered this famous statement when I was a kid. Well, there is just a few of I know that loath to eat this poultry. These are just the people with allergies, unfortunately. I mean, who wouldn't want this meat outta pheasant. It is relatively cheap, tender, easy to procure and pleasant.

Today I am going to discuss on how to make a meal on surprise, surprise-CHICKEN. Enough of the typical fried, stew or grilled. Let us make this meal savory. (I am confident this will make @grazz drool.)

I am going to present the procedure in a descending manner.

PREPARATION OF INGREDIENTS NEEDED

It is important to wash them thoroughly and drain excess water.
For this presentation, I used half a kilo of chicken.

Chicken(I personally prefer the bony parts not lean meat.)

1 potato and 1 carrot(You can of course add more, depending on your preference but I'm on a budget.)

Spices: garlic, onion and red bell pepper.(You can also add green bell pepper to diversify the colors adding presentation to your meal)

Tomato sauce(You can use any brand or variant available as long as it is tomato sauce.)

Seasonings:Salt and pepper. Definitely last but not the least, this will give the meal its final flavor.

First, slice your ingredients in desired sizes after washing and peeling them.

I soaked the vegetables in water to prevent discoloration.

In a hot pan, fry the vegetables to achieve texture and firmness.

Simmer for like 3-5 minutes then season with salt and pepper.
Have a sip or taste; if satisfied turn off the stove and serve into a bowl.

Enjoy with rice! I hope you find this helpful.
