Food Porn : Introducing another African Delicious delicacy with Step by Step method || What a Woman can do a Man can do better with ease.

in #food5 years ago

Hello friends,

It is easier said than done but when you say a particular thing or statement and you also follow what you say then you are readily called a Man of your word, likewise if you try to convince so many people about your products or platform then you are capable of doing more research and work. Here today I will say and say it again i I will like to share my life experience without looking back through what it would take. Recently I was in a discussion room with some set of steemians on discord and we were talking food processing and food preparation I watched their conversations for couple of hours and later I came down with my own African Delicious delicacy with some reasons why I always feel great when it comes to food processing and preparations.

Where I Got The Knowledge.

Many years ago when I was 12years old to be specific, my late dad did some wonderful surprises, took a great step as a father who want to be called Daddy truly taught me several methods of cooking indigenous food and how to go about its preservation techniques as well. When I was small my thought was that my dad was harsh on me and trying to force himself on me to do some homemade foodies but when I started growing up I saw this great knowledge he forced on me as a Opportunity and Privilege to prepare harder in life. Thanks to him and also may his gentle soul continue to rest in Perfect peace. Amen. My parents especially my dad thought me African foodies which I will find more time to share this thought in details with you on steemit not minding the time I will spend in writing the article step by step.

I will be taking us through how to make it from its Original state.African Indigenous Meal, Pounded Yam with Vegetable soup, ganish with dried Locust beans and dried fish these are what normally the old ones consume back in the days that gives them more helpful strength in farming activities and even prolong their lifespan. They do not consume more of stachy foodstuffs not like this present day time,we eat more of stach foodies but eat less Vegetables and fruits. I will be taking this session with photographs as well to show better explanation to us all and to easily comprehend the steps.

African Pounded Yam with steps by steps tutorial.( Photography)

I will like to further stress this because so many people will go about and false proof this article which I'm about to begin, don't do it unless you contact me for permission.

RAW MATERIAL NEEDED

  • Raw Yam: It maybe white yam or yellow yam or coco yam.
  • Knife: For Cutting and peeling the yam
  • Hand bowl: for washing the yam thoroughly.
  • Empty clean pot: For cooking the yam
  • Water: source of water in which the yam will be boiled.
  • Heat source: Cooking Gas or stove
  • Pounding tools: Mortal and Pestle
  • Nylon: For rapping the Pounded yam.

MAIN TUTORIAL:

Step 1.

This is the first step to do, you must have a very big idea of how to select your yam tubers before setting them forward to process it for pounded yam. If you are not very careful with your yam selection it will go spoilt and mess up the pounded yam itself.

Step 2.

After the proper yam selection then you peel the yam coat careful without leaving any strand of yam spot or spoilt yam portion. Peel careful.

Step 3.

This has to be done with proper food hygiene because if care is not taking you will end up eating raw material like soil. So you need to get yourself prepared,I once see someone who has been in foodies aspect for a very long time but that fateful day she didn't properly wash the yam. That was all. So you need to practice good hygiene.

Step 4.

You put the thoroughly washed peeled sliced yam inside a clean pot and place it on the fire for 30 minutes. I said this because I use gas cooker it sometime done before 30 minutes but you have to ensure proper soften of the yam before bringing it down and start pounding instantly. You don't have to let it cool at all before pounding the yam.

Step 5.

The step five showed the quality of preparation for the Pounded yam measures. For every practical experiment there is total dedication. So ,things are set for the yam to be made into another great form. I have the washed Mortal and Pestle, I have the cooked yam inside the covered pot and finally I have the cooling source as well. These are the practical measures you have to take into consideration before you start the pounding of the yam.

Yes,it is now time for the work to commence proper. I have all the requirements available here with me. I love to follow procedures and it great that way.

Step 6.

This is how it looks when you are finally ready for pounding yam. Don't ask anyone again how does it look before pounding yam, take a sit and watch this photographs ,you will understand it more than you can think of.

Step 7.

Gently, Using a fork to pick the cooked yam from the pot into the washed Mortal.

Step 8.

The pounding into Yam paste has commenced and it going on well and promptly. It has to be Pounded in uniform rotation and thereafter center pounding. Did you just asked me how? You have to pound the yam in equal direction and opposite direction as well.

Step 9.

It is halfway done. How? After I spent 7 minutes during the transformation of the yam into Yam paste, it doesn't matter how long, because we are professional in things we do, so if you are very good at your best in what you do. You do it in a professional way. So I just did. Some people may take longer time to pound from cooked yam into yam paste.

The paste is almost ready, just some few more steps to go. Let see more tutorials.

Step 10.

Hahahaha....lol, this is not actually a step but it is a normal activity that will occur when ever you do a very hard tedious work. Likewise pounding yam can be so stressful.

This was the second round of my Pounding Because I had my first round initially.

This is how its looks like again. Very thick and heavy paste inside the Mortal. The end result of the Pure cooked yam tuber.

Step 11.

Mixing thoroughly the delicious delicacy foodies with little bit of hot water. The reason been that the hot water is used to minimize the thickness of the pounded yam before it is finally rapper inside the nylon or better still dish inside the plate.

When I was busy mixing the yam paste inside the Mortal thoroughly with Pestle.

Busy mixing the yam paste...

Step 12.

After the step 11, which happened to be the mixing of the yam paste with the hot water , it now due time to serve straight into the plate or dish it inside the nylon for preservation means.

Yes. It is finally done.

Yes. This is what it takes to be a Man. What a woman can do a man can do more better..

See you next time!
