Yesterday I ate an well-known type of food here in Portugal, called as "Francesinha".
This delicacy, according history, it was created by Danield David Silva on the fifties, that worked on "A Regaleira" restaurant in Porto. Having been an emigrant in France, he used as inspiration one of the most typical sandwiches in France, the "Croque-Monsieur".
The Francesinha is a snack born in the city of Porto, which can basically be exemplified as being made with two thick slices slightly toasted loaf bread, among which is added a beef steak, sausage, mortadella, fresh sausage and cheese. Cover with multiple slices of cheese on all sides and bake until the cheese begins to melt. Finally put down the one that is the most important ingredient of Francesinha: the hot sauce, slightly thick and spicy. This snack is accompanied with french fries.
Sometimes we find several variations of this type of dish, for example Shrimp Francesinha.
We went to Vila do Conde, to the "Os Eusébios" restaurant, in my opinion, one of the best regarding this dish.

Já tive a ver imagens da francesinha daí e tem muita pinta, várias pintas até xD! Vai ficar para a próxima visita ao Porto :)
