Who can complain

Anyone who receives, asks for, or is affected by a social work service, can make a complaint. For example if you live near a residential home, run by the local authority, and the way it provides its services is disruptive to you, a complaint can be made.

You can make a complaint if you are worried about someone because you don't think they are getting the help they need. You can even make the complaint anonymously. If you make an anonymous complaint it may only be investigated by the local authority if you have provided enough information to allow it to identify the person and the problem.

The directives above are from Citizens Advice UK, and my counter-advice would be to act anonymously, while supplying as much detail as possible. Maybe even following up with a 2nd, 3rd and 4th complaint. The point is to let them(The SS) know that the family they are persecuting are not alone in their disapproval.

Hopefully it will not come to this and we can educate enough families about their rights, when dealing with the Social Services. At least this way we can slow them down and make their operation that much more expensive to run. But don't forget, if the people who are complicit in the child trafficking industry have 50% of their blood-money taken away, then maybe they will think twice about being so opportunistic...?

It does seem, from the transcript above, that if you report something anonymously, you are classed as a less-urgent claim and this certainly gives cause for concern...

Always bare in mind that once the Social services are aware of a complaint against them, they may react in an unpredictable way. Nevertheless, if you are in a situation where you have to deal with the Social services and you know they are lying about your situation, a mystery complaint might just get them to back-off.

If it were myself, I would also make my complaints directly and to anyone higher up the ladder too. I am of the opinion that the social services aim their sites at the vulnerable(uneducated, disabled, depressed). It is all fair game to them and I imagine that if you are unlucky enough to get a career-minded social worker, then you are really going to have to watch your back. Their is always the possibility that this is a "lone wolf", so speaking out would be a positive move.

Here is an example of what NOT to do. This also come from citizens advice and it should e treated as a warning, on how not to believe everything they tell you. Not only is this advice laughably patronising, but it is also dangerous.

NEVER ALLOW ANY SOCIAL WORKER IN YOUR HOME. DO NOT OPEN THE DOOR TO THEM. THIS JUST GIVES THEM CHANCE TO STICK THEIR FOOT IN THE DOOR(And I mean that literally).

But what if they do "get their foot in the door"...?

I have known of 2 cases, where I have had direct contact with families in this situation and they have both survived by speaking out and asking for 2nd opinions.

SOCIAL WORKERS GIVE THEIR OPINIONS AND NOTHING MORE... YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO PROVE THEM WRONG!

Screenshot-2018-6-19 Ombudsman releases complaints statistics for all local authorities - Local Government and Social Care [...](2).png

This year (2016-17) the Ombudsman received over 16,500 complaints and enquiries about councils. The greatest proportion were about Education and Children’s Services, followed by Adult Social Care, and Planning.
It’s not just about numbers though. What matters is the outcome of the complaints investigated in detail and over the year, across England, the Ombudsman upheld 54%. This is up from 51% in 2015-6, and 46% the previous year. The region with the highest proportion of complaints upheld was London (60%), and the lowest was the East Midlands (44%).
Overall, the Ombudsman was most likely to find fault in Adult Social Care cases (64% upheld), and least likely to find fault in complaints about Planning and Development (35% upheld).

Folk will have to accept that some parents are abusive and will always be this way and therefore it is true that some social workers do a great service, saving these children from a life of misery.

The problem we have is the same as every industry in the world, today... It is corrupt and the agency has been infiltrated with paedophiles and/or elitists. I am also quite sure that there are members of the hierarchy from every sector that have been compromised, in one way or another. Some people hold massive influence within the judicial system and if you had the capacity to blackmail these civil servants, via prostitution or drug deals, then that would be very useful when you want to get a pesky witness off your back.

PESKY WITNESSES

I will post a video of, ex-detective, John Wedger, who tells a story of a policeman trying to do his job, only to be told he was doing it "too well"...

I hope this will serve as a warning to anyone who thinks it wise to open their door to the Social Services.

It is time to start taking action against these corrupt social workers and while we are not in a position to remove them from office completely, at least we can try to dig out the rotten social workers and make it known that we believe they are a danger to families. By knowing your rights and knowing where to go to complain, we can at least begin chip away at the system. Remember, one less corrupted social worker on the beat, means countless families will be saved the horrors we know await them.

More useful information from official sources.

If you think your complaint is going to be handled by someone who has important decisions to make about your family and you think they will judge your complaint unfairly you can contact the complaints officer instead. You can get more advice about this from a Citizens Advice Bureau

Complaining on behalf of someone else and advocacy.

You may want to complain about a service that is being provided to a relative or friend who is not able to complain themselves. You can still complain but you should get their consent to do so. If they can’t provide consent, because they are unable to make decisions for themselves, the complaint may still be able to be dealt with. A local authority can investigate the complaint but it may not be able to share the outcome because consent wasn’t provided in the first place. This ensures however that someone who might be in some kind of danger can still have the circumstances in the complaint investigated.

Your friend or relative may be able to make their complaint with the help of a trained advocate. There are advocates all over Scotland. You can check if there is someone available locally to help from the Scottish Independent Advocacy Alliance website at www.siaa.org.uk.

BUT WHY SHOULD WE LET THAT STOP US FINDING OUT MORE?

Guides related to the law in England and Wales Page 8 Section 7 Reports A guide to welfare reports in private family proceedings under section 7 of the Children Act

Again, Section 15 of Practice Direction 12B urges social worker to include plans for the progression of contact within section 7 reports. This might include supported or supervised contact where risks of harm exist, and where supervision can assess the extent to which the risks of harm are genuine. It should be noted that “a decision to require supervision of contact MUST BE SUPPORTED BY EVIDENCE.”

Another little crack in the edifice...now we need provision for making complaints in the US.

Thanks for all the good info and I hope you folks in the UK keep on this monster! Reform is so badly needed and it won't happen unless there really is this surge of complaints to force accountability.

The fact that this has been published at all is encouraging, however, and being able to tip anonymously just as they have allowed people to do against parents may finally provide a taste of the medicine that's been dished out. What's good for the goose is most definitely good for the gander.

And until reform happens, children of abused parents are just as much at risk as those of innocent parents because if the social workers can't get their act together and focus on what they should, people who should be getting help won't be while they're busy hounding people who should be left alone.

You make some great additional points here, thank you. Not that anyone would see from the face of thing, but the UK is bubbling about this. They are trying their best to steer the issue in other directions(Tommy 'the fake' Robinson). If you want a good news source for the UK I would recommend watching the UKcolumn They have a daily news report and tell things how it really is.
Thank you for the thoughtful comment and support.

Awesome post. I'm not in Britain, but we have the exact same problems here in Maine (USA.) You are absolutely right. We need to expose individual bad apples in any AND EVERY way possible. Even if we've got to make handbills and post them all over the neighborhoods affected, with the individual's photo and the story of what they've done. Put them up, ON FOOT, AT NIGHT, IN COSTUME..and know where the cameras are.

I actually think you are 100% right with this and the DIY approach is the only reliable way of getting the real awareness. Looks like I'll be buying some dark clothes.. ;)

LOL..be careful! After they know someone is out doing this, it will be much harder to do it again. So be sure to nail the worst one HARD the first time (and don't get caught.) They could get you for "libel" if the local judge is also crooked.

haha I get the impression you have done this before... I'll be like a ninja, promise ;)

Shhhhh....I will deny everything....
