Debido a las medidas de protección frente a la pandemia, hace un buen rato que no viajo. Una de las cosas que más disfruto al viajar es tomar fotografías de los paisajes, lo cual no puedo hacer desde mi encierro. Pero, desde mi ventana puedo apreciar otro tipo de imágenes, como la vista del edificio vecino. Es un paisaje urbano que me recuerda una frase leída en un libro de Georges Perec:
"...los separa un simple tabique; comparten los mismos espacios repetidos de arriba abajo del edificio; hacen los mismos gestos al mismo tiempo: abrir el grifo, tirar de la cadena del wáter, encender la luz, poner la mesa, algunas decenas de existencias simultáneas que se repiten de piso en piso, de casa en casa, de calle en calle".
Existencias contiguas que sólo pueden apreciarse de forma simultánea en estos tiempos en que todos estamos en casa. Las calles están vacías, pero la vida no se ha detenido.
Due to the protection measures against the pandemic, I haven't traveled in a long time. One of the things I enjoy the most when traveling is taking pictures of the landscapes, which I cannot do from my confinement. But, from my window I can see other types of images, such as the view of the neighboring building. It's an urban landscape that reminds me of a phrase read in a book by Georges Perec:
"... they are separated by a simple partition; they share the same spaces repeated from top to bottom of the building; they make the same gestures at the same time: open the tap, pull the chain of the toilet, turn on the light, set the table, a few dozen of simultaneous stocks that are repeated from floor to floor, from house to house, from street to street ".
Adjoining existences that can only be seen simultaneously in these times when we are all at home. The streets are empty, but life hasn't stopped.
