¡Hola amigos! es mi primera vez en Hive y quiero presentarme. Soy Elines Uzcátegui, tengo 34 años y vivo en una ciudad pequeña cerca de Caracas.
¿Mi nombre? Una combinación de Elizabeth (mi mamá) y Nestor (mi papá) ¿A quién se le ocurrió? A la mejor amiga de mi mamá, que casualidades de la vida nací el mismo día que ella. Lo genial de mi nombre es, que tiene traducción al inglés Eleanne.
Vivir en una ciudad pequeña tiene ventajas y desventajas, pueden verse más las ventajas porque está cerca de la capital. Vives la rutina, el ritmo de las ciudades grandes, tener todo a la mano y muchas facilidades pero con la tranquilidad, la pausa y la intimidad que se genera en los lugares pequeños.
Después de hacer mi vida escolar hasta la universidad en mi ciudad, decidí hacer vida laboral en Caracas. Madrugar, transportarme de punta a punta de la ciudad, aprender a manejarme en el metro a diario no es lo mismo que hacerlo de vez en cuando. Al final del día terminaba agotada pero feliz porque hacía lo que me gustaba, aprendía mucho y vivía experiencias que no te permite una ciudad pequeña.
Pasé por diferentes oficinas, unas más lejos que otras y así pude conocer Caracas, sus rincones llenos de historia, modernidad, hasta un poco de caos. Tiene su encanto como ninguna. Por situación país, la última empresa en la que trabajé cerró y volví a mi pequeña ciudad, sin saber qué hacer, adaptarme a bajar el ritmo, ver qué posibilidades habían para mí.
Decidí trabajar con un primo de forma temporal, luego me fui a un periódico (me encanta comunicar) y terminé emprendiendo: primero una comunidad digital, después un espacio educativo para emprendedores y por último una agencia de marketing digital.
Fueron 4 años increíbles con dos socias donde logramos abrir caminos a muchas personas que apostaban a la ciudad pequeña, empujamos y motivamos a otros para que hicieran realidad sus sueños, los conectamos con diferentes oportunidades para que siguieran adelante y que sus negocios fueran rentables, reconocidos y apoyados por la comunidad en general.
La pandemia hizo cambios muy profundos en mí. Tomé la decisión más dolorosa de mi vida, que fue dejarlo todo atrás, por seguir una voz interna que me dijo nos necesitan en otro lado y aquí estoy preparándome para ese otro lugar, llegué a Hive por una razón, me estás leyendo quien sabe por qué… espero que salga algo bonito de todo esto y gracias por llegar hasta el final, por leerme, sí me quieres decir algo con gusto te leo en los comentarios.

Hi friends! it's my first time on Hive and I want to introduce myself. I'm Elines Uzcátegui, I'm 34 years old and I live in a small city near Caracas.
My name? A combination of Elizabeth (my mom) and Nestor (my dad) Who came up with it? My mom's best friend, who coincidentally was born on the same day as her. The great thing about my name is that it translates to Eleanne.
Living in a small city has advantages and disadvantages, the advantages can be seen more because it is close to the capital. You live the routine, the rhythm of the big cities, having everything at hand and many facilities but with the tranquility, the pause and the intimacy that is generated in small places.
After doing my school life until university in my hometown, I decided to make my working life in Caracas. Getting up early, moving from one end of the city to the other, learning to ride the subway every day is not the same as doing it once in a while. At the end of the day I ended up exhausted but happy because I was doing what I liked, learning a lot and living experiences that a small city does not allow.
I went to different offices, some farther away than others, and so I got to know Caracas, its corners full of history, modernity, even a bit of chaos. It has its charm like no other. Because of the situation in the country, the last company I worked for closed and I returned to my small town, not knowing what to do, adapting to slow down, to see what possibilities there were for me.
I decided to work with a cousin on a temporary basis, then I went to a newspaper (I love to communicate) and ended up starting a business: first a digital community, then an educational space for entrepreneurs and finally a digital marketing agency.
They were 4 incredible years with two partners where we managed to open roads to many people who were betting on the small city, we pushed and motivated others to make their dreams come true, we connected them with different opportunities to move forward and make their businesses profitable, recognized and supported by the community in general.
The pandemic made profound changes in me. I made the most painful decision of my life, which was to leave everything behind, to follow an inner voice that told me they need us somewhere else and here I am preparing for that other place, I came to Hive for a reason, you are reading me who knows why... I hope something beautiful comes out of all this and thank you for making it to the end, for reading me, if you want to tell me something I will gladly read you in the comments.
