I am getting so tired of it. Humans so often identify via ideological groups and then believe their own group are the good ones while all others are evil.
The rich think they need to 'guide' the poor because they are too stupid and do not know what is good for them.
The poor think that the rich are evil and just want to extort them for profit.
The left thinks that the right are nazis that want to kill minorities.
The right thinks that the left want to destroy society via identity politics and steal public wealth to have a simple life.
...
And it is really shocking what the left wing people I talk to think about the right and their motivations. There are really two camps that do not talk to each other and both have created their own fantasy as to why they should hate the other side.
All of this black and white thinking is far too simple. Most people are good and do not have evil intentions. They do bad things because they lack deeper understanding and not because they want to see others suffer. And this applies to everyone, also to the people you may associate with.
This gives two reasons why violence and an aggressive approach is highly questionable. First this pushes everyone more deeply into their camp and actively prevents people from changing opinion. And secondly your own philosophy is likely causing enough problems and does not represent pure goodness. Can you really be so sure that your vision should be enforced by violence when you are just a human and human failure is more than well documented.
Valuable points well made in this time of rising nationalism and fascism.

spiritually speaking.. everyone is doing right based on their perspective.
even when going against what they think is right, they are doing it because they think the must for their survival.... so again it is 'right' given their perspective.
and we all do this, all the time.
without a spiritual backbone.. it is really easy to get lost in doing things the fear-based mind comes up with.
