If you want to live a life free from harm, it's reasonable to expect your actions to not cause harm to others. By harm, this refers to actions of theft with respect to your property. You don't own everything. And you don't own others. You do on yourself.
You own your life. You own your sexual preference. You own your bodily integrity. You own the things that you work for that you make yourself, or that you buy with the fruits of your labor, which is usually money you received for your labor.
That's a basic starting position for things that you own that shouldn't be violated. In correspondence with that, these things shall not be violated by you towards others. Don't harm other people's property, and don't have your property harmed. That's how to live in peace and enjoy the freedom of everything else.
But you have some people, want to take from you what is in tears and justified. The government does this. They want to legalize theft. They want to legalize violence so that they have a monopoly on violence.
Anything that violates your property is a violation of your freedom. All of these violations of freedom, as a result, engenders more enslavement.
You see, the spectrum of freedom has freedom at one end, and no freedom at the other end. Another way to look at the side of no freedom, is slavery. When more freedom is removed, more slavery is added. The less slavery there is, the more freedom there is.
Freedom is a natural state that occurs in the absence of slavery. The greater the degree of modalities of slavery that are present in one's life, the less freedom is present in one's life.
That is why government is an institution that promotes slavery. Government, in essence, is slavery.
If you are against slavery, and you are automatically for freedom. Being for freedom puts you in opposition to the policies that government puts forth as our way of life. If you are against slavery, you should be against government.
Animals should also be free from human efforts to imprison them, enslave them, or kill them.
