Hey friends! I am opening up a new contest themed around freedom. I have been thinking about this for a little while now.
Since I joined steemit, as well as crypto-land in general, I am enjoying seeing a lot of discussions around liberty and freedom. Some are political and revolutionary while others are personal or spiritual.
Freedom is an important topic to me and more so as I age. My own definition of freedom is always evolving and there are many ways to think about it. I thought it would be fun to start a challenge to spur a discussion of freedom so that we can inspire and learn from each other.
So I am thinking if this gets a positive response I'll keep the challenge going regularly, maybe weekly or bimonthly. I will change the prompt with each challenge, while keeping freedom as the overall theme. Any feedback is welcome, especially considering this the first contest I am hosting!

I have actually been writing a piece about how we practice ecoanarchy/freedom so I'll format it to your question and post it soon.

exciting @sagescrub... we'll participate for sure!! it's a great question and worth ruminating on to create a well formed opinion. it also gets more important to me as i age, create things on the earth (that people want to tax, etc), and continue to "be bigger than myself" in the world.. it's easy to play it small, but we gotta start thinking beyond ourselves!! resteemed.

Nice concept and very controversial topic. Freedom is the goal we all drive to attain - financially, politically, socially and otherwise. Thanks @sagescrup for this great initiative.
Thank you @kevaton! I agree, we all want freedom, yet we all have our own definition of what that means. Rather than tell people what I think freedom is, I thought its better to ask anyone that's interested so that I can expand my understanding :)
Good work, brother. Man, you've got some great ideas, and this one is stellar. I'm thinking your invitation will get us in the attitude of gratitude, recognizing the broad spectrum of "freedoms" that really exist, and hopefully each of us will see that we are truly free. I'm upping and resteeming.

It's really great idea for a challenge! I wish I had seen this earlier so I could have time to think about my post. I would love to participate it, but I cant I guess considering it's 6 am in my time right now and I'm really sleepy! More sbd would also be great for the encouragement of others, but the topic is great, so I'm sure good number of people must have joined :) I would love to join in the second one!
