Spam Scam Trash Inbox

Seven o'clock in the morning sipping that first cup of coffee, before the mind starts scheming and planning a day, the first place to visit is the inbox, who needs me, what is important, relevant is the inbox is jam packed, downloading from yesterday.

Now in a momentary lapse of silence the first thing to do is check who sent them, inbox is scammer friendly, they are in there! Some poor people have not been caught out by our great friend called spam, oh there will well be several ln of them daily... tucked away hoping to unwittingly catch you in their trickery.

Not today, I have heard of too many opening the infamous "You have Won" or banker needing "details", unwittingly some poor souls open these mails then get demand notice wanting payment in bitcoin to release your mail back too you.

Who would have thought the inbox would become contaminated with outlandish people trying to steal from you, all the time, every day rinse and repeat, it does become tiresome!

Reflecting back the "old fashioned" inbox was much the same, instead of being in your house it stood at your gate, what did you get literally as regular as clock work someone advertising, offering prizes for your details to be entered in some or other competition.

Has life changed, no not really, the difference is you did not open the junk mail _(in fact you most probably swore and threw it aside immediately), so why open spam or mails from someone you do not know.

Did you enter the competition to win anything? Do you have long lost family dying leaving you money? Or people wishing to do business into your country whom you have no clue who they are, sorry scammers my inbox is not inviting your mails here today.

This now travels into your inbox in direct messaging in all social media platforms, people not associated to you in any logical sense, suddenly become familiar with offering you outrageous propositions that normally you would never consider.

An Inbox whether online, through snail mail the decision is always yours to accept or reject, hit the block, delete, trash, in fact technology to smartphones offers a great variety of apps to block certain numbers, inbox offers similar it is up to the individual to implement them, still be cautious an inbox could become dangerous allowing strangers to abuse you.

So true!

How many people have got into trouble for paying attention to malicious emails in their inboxes...

My son's work includes dealing with many pensioners having opened malicious emails, normally a small pension with all their savings gone.

I am always SO impressed by people who can keep their inboxes tidy, i have thousands of emails in mine 😭

Always better to get them off your system @mo-nique I spend a few minutes every morning then it is done for the day.

Everything is correct, it is very dangerous to open letters from unfamiliar addresses.

Lately I find smartphone has become a way spam is coming through with phone calls, sms etc., always better to be safe than sorry. Download 'Truecaller' or a similar app where you are able to block them. With the app you send it in for others using the same app to be aware of "junk" callers you do not need in your life.

You are not kidding about the scammers. And so sad that people are falling for it!!
