Seraphina had roamed most of her childhood in the caverns going between Psiloritis and Ideon Antron. She was now on her way to Rome where she would enter the capitol and become the wife of some political power house. This is what her mother had taught her even after death.

When she had laid down to sleep it had been quiet waters but now what she woke up to felt more like they were in the middle of a storm. She pulled on an overcoat and went on deck to see what was going on. After a week smooth sailing she was not surprised with the storm. She had actually called it two days earlier to slow the trip a day or two.

"This damn storm is gonna throw us off schedule," shouted the captain from behind her. "We would be reachin' port before nightfall tomorrow. It came from out of nowhere. No warnin'," he continued.

Sera turned to him and nodded. "It is ok Captain. Sometimes we just need to slow down for cautions sake."

He looked at her not quite seeing her and nodded as if in agreement.

She had put in her appearance as a concerned passenger and felt that was all she needed for the time being so she headed back to her cabin below to do a little more practice.

As she grabbed the book she had stowed in her travelling bag she heard the familiar sound of a voice.

"Yes mother. It is time for you to tell me what I am to do. We have two days undisturbed so make yourself seen".

The wispy figure of her mother appeared. Just as beautiful and young looking as she had been in life. And for the next two days minus meals they sat in the room making preparations for the arrival.
