There's two things I love most in this world* and that's (1) trying new things and (2) the randomness of the internet. Let me explain;
(1) Most Eastern philosophies want you to 'live in the moment' and 'experience the now'. I think a main way of doing that is to try new things. I once read about a famous philosopher who tried something new everyday in order to 'not forget the now'. For example, he was right handed, and one day he decided to do EVERYTHING with his left hand, constantly being reminded of the current moment.
In this case, STEEMIT is new. And I will try this thing..
(2) The internet is a vast network of computers and servers and what-not that connect all the different types of people around the world. Also the weird ones. A direct result of that? RANDOMNESS! Everybody likes different things - and one person's 'normal' is another person's 'WTF IS THIS SHIT!'.
