Incredibly proud as well as excited to announce that Steem-Roller.com as of the time of this post has now hosted over 7,000,000 ( seven MILLION ) bets on the site! I'd meant to catch a .gif of the site rolling over past 7,000,000 but I got caught up talking to my father and missed it.
The site has come a long ways over the past few months and while still in beta and under construction the amount of bets that have been rolled so far blows my mind a little bit. Still quite a fair amount of stuff left to code on the back end not to mention the new GUI redesign that should be coming hopefully in the next few days or weeks.
A total of around 85650 STEEM has been wagered on the site since going into open beta testing with the majority of the bets being less than the standard 3 decimal places offered in STEEM. Given that Steem-Roller.com is on of the first sites to use more decimal places than the 3 the users on the site have dubbed these smaller units a "STEEMtoshi" ( 0.00000001 STEEM ) in honour of Bitcoins satoshi which is the unit at the 8th decimal place on that currency.
A Potential Future Contest is Born
Steem-Roller.com investor and player @btcminer suggesting in the chat earlier that in the future milestone bets such as the ones every million bets or so should be awarded with a STEEM prize. Funds permitting and once I get the "All" tab to show the bet number in relation to the total bets on site this will certainly become a thing. Not only would this serve as a great promotional function but also would help drive more betting on the site which in turn makes everyone happy. In the next week or so I'll work on implementing showing total bet #'s on the "All" tab to make this possible.
@cowbay and @btcminer were awarded 2.5 STEEM each for helping get > 7M bets!
My thought on the matter is that in the future for milestone bets a reward will be given something along the lines of 100x the wagered amount up to a certain point, say 50 STEEM or so. Not only with this encourage large betting in hopes of nailing the milestone bets and thus the prize, but will also stimulate folks to play that normally would abstain.

Thanks! Got updates and bug fixes being pushed basically on a daily basis and some time tonight or tomorrow I'll be announcing a new promotion for the site in which you can win up to 100x your bet win or lose if you happen to roll the milestone bets.. Should be interesting. :)
Did over a million bets in a week.. Kind of mind blowing the more I think about it considering the site is only in beta still.
