in #gardening4 years ago

Guy's here is part 2 of this massive garden tidy up, and between you and me I have never felt so out of my depth as I have been doing while doing this job.

After strumming mowing sawing and sweating the jungle is starting to look a little like a garden.

It has taken 2 days of consent work, and a lot of blood sweat and tears but finally the garden is as the customer as asked.

My customer asked for me to take an overgrown garden and take everything down to the ground and that is just what we did.

While sorting the jungle out we found more bricks, plastic, guttering, metal sheeting, and other things that we just don't know what they are.

The customer has had to get a second skip to remove all the rubbish just from the garden as there is just that much of it.

From what I have found out about the house, it belonged to a lady who used to train dogs, and the metal is from cages she used to keep them in.

The plastic boxes are what she used to horde many years of items and then the ones that didn't have anything in made their way outside.

My biggest peeve is brambles and that is something that I had to tackle while working here, and my new machine head made light work of them which made me a little happier than if I hadn't have had it.

I did however have an accident, this was something I thought would never happen to me as I am the most careful when using my tools.

As it was coming to the end of my day, I was going around the fence to remove the last of the brambles and hit a tennis ball.

The brush cutter jumped back at me and hit my shoe, sliced through it, and my sock and caught my ankle.

while moving out of the way I then pulled my brush cutter up and away from me and caught the fence.

This took out two pieces of wood, and all my laborer could hear was me shouting "oh shit".

I was so pissed of at what had happened I didn't realize that my foot was bleeding. Even though I knew that my foot was hurting.

It could have been much worse but I was wearing my safety shoes that more than likely saved me a trip to the hospital.

When I told the customer about what had happened she was more interested on how my foot was than the fence. she said it didn't matter as they were putting a new one up before it was getting sold.

My laborer started to pack the tools away for the day when the customer came back to me and offered me more work for next week.

They want the whole garden turning over and leveling, and then for it to be seeded so that it has a grassed area.

I quoted them and they were well happy with my price. happy days.

until next time my friends, stay safe.

That's an amazing difference compared to your Part 1 photos! I hope your foot is okay.

I have propper knackered it up, I could hardly get out of bed this morning, and driving to the first job of today wasn't easy. It could have been way worse, lucky for me I will live.
Hope you're alright?
