March Garden Update

Finally enjoying steady Sun shine the past month! Weather has warmed a bit but still a bit chilly to plant outdoor yet with temperatures still in the 40s Fahrenheit.

There are some straggler crops from last Fall that survived the mild Winter this year and are rejuvenating with life.

Spinach brought back from the dead. Planted last Fall.

Arugula also survived the mild winter and remained uneaten by wild life.

A couple weeks of snow cover never did no harm...

Lemon tree is showing more and more spots of new growth with the steady sunshine and warmth.

Window peppers love the extra sunlight each day. With a little feeding every so often these plants are pumping out another round of peppers.

Mini bell peppers growing slowly.

image

Jalapeño plant also growing another round of spicy peppers. I’m noticing how much water they need each day, obviously it is increasing in volume as the plant begins using it for growth.

image

I am considering transplanting these into the ground in about a month.

image

This young banana pepper plant had managed to stay alive during th Winter months with hardly a moment of direct sunlight. But alas it survived and will see itself in a much happier spot come about a month from now when I take it outdoors.

image

Another bell pepper plant that has enjoyed a private window viewing of the back yard all Winter long. This too will find itself outside once more come warmer weather.

image

I figure the plant can only support the growth of one pepper at a time so I expect one of these new growing peppers to fail and fall.

But my Newest and most favorite addition to my homesteading garden here at the property..

My Son, James.

He’s growing too. With the love from @kelsnm and I.

Much like a plant in a garden, he needs love and attention. With proper nurturing, I will see my blossom grow!

That’s my March Garden Update for the garden journal 2019 hosted by @simplymike.

I pray to Heavenly Father.
