Curiosities: the numbers

Since ancient times it was always believed that numbers had some mythical meaning. Certain numbers were considered to be of special and significant importance in the field of medicine, which were handled by magicians, who gave each number special properties applicable to health; but with equal insistence they were spoken of as luck and good fortune.

The most resulting properties that some numbers always had are listed below.

1: was considered as the father or principle of numbers and was given as symbolism, harmony and prosperity.

2: it was considered as the guarism of the understanding and origin of the numbers.

3: at that time and today it was and still is a guarism of a sacred nature. It was always had as a perfect number, because it divinizes the trinity and symbolizes abundance and fertility.

4: it was considered by Pythagoras as the root and mother of all other numbers. 5: it was a very important guarism between master and magicians of the antiquity.

6: for the ancient ones it was the perfection of the numbers: they took it as ideal for the love and it was always consecrated to Venus.

7: it has divine meaning and therefore it was the most esteemed.

8: it was considered as the number of justice and of the fullness of favors.

9: it had as its meaning power, wisdom, mystery, and protection.

10: it was considered a divine and sacred number.

11: it symbolized malignity.

12: it had its sacred and divine character.

13: it has always been considered as the representative of death and all misfortune.
