The path to success resembles confused Fox trails only when a person does not know what he wants. It is possible to devote many years to a profession which does not bring pleasure; to undertake any fruitless actions and, eventually, just to give up, having sacredly believed that "born to crawl-can't fly".
You need to set goals that go beyond your own life. Then you will go on the road of implementation of specific tasks, and each step will bring you closer to the cherished goal.
