Hahahaha, I face the same thing. My real name would only bring my name out on the chess international server and chess tournaments I've played. Many people bear both my name and surname but they are not celebrities.
In reverse, Only me bears my nickname "Samostically" - It's a weird nickname but I've been using it for more than 12 years now so it's prolly everywhere on all socials.
Searching for samostically shows Hive interfaces now and no longer my online chess accounts which I like because I want people to know me in relation to hive.
Concerning your namesake, I think you should follow him up. Since you're a fan it wouldn't be boring watching his live broadcast :)
Anyway, I search my names all the time. Its a fun thing to do.
