Grcpool is also rewarding crunchers with SPARC an erc-20 token but you cant withdraw ATM, "MyEtherWallet" accepts the token if you want to know where to withdraw to.
The SPARC site is working if you take the html off you dont get the 404 error so go here the correct link to see what their about.

It also seems like they are trying to do something similar to Golem with buying compute power, as well, but hey! at least those not on team gridcoin can earn something for their volunteer work [hopefully we'll see]

"Sorry I can't provide an exact timing. SPARC looks like they are very much in flux right now. There was no SPARC payout this week so far as they haven't distributed any yet. But it looks like they are very active on updating things. The rub here on paying out from the pool is I will need to collect a real fee to cover my ETH gas to send out SPARC. This is easiest on everybody I think if I use GRC from the pool as a fee. There is some solid work that would need to be done to support auto payouts of SPARC and I don't want to waste the time if SPARC just falls apart. If somebody really wants their SPARC, I am happy to send it to them if they cover the gas for it via GRC or whatever. They would just need to email me. Pool 1 and 3 also did not get their SPARC payout last week, but Pool 2 did."

This was discussed a little bit 6 days ago here by @rahvin84. I'd like to reiterate and warn users about the dangers of SPARC before you all start to spend GRC/ETH as transaction gas.
SPARC announced itself to our community on the subreddit a month ago, and linked us to their webpage. The webpage included scathing criticism of GRC, most of which was either outdated or factually incorrect regardless of when it was written. Their whitepaper was also riddled with errors, grammatical problems and formatting issues. Worse, they openly admitted on our sub that the whitepaper was outdated, despite an active ICO being ongoing.
Further, SPARC was just onto its second ICO phase. To make it appear like there was a lot of investor interest, they appear to have washed about USD$50,000 worth of ETH through their investment wallet. You can go trace the addresses yourself to check this, and Neuralminer has already done this.
On the other hand, they are very quick to reply to any emails and appear very friendly. I just advise significant caution. It is very easy for anyone to set up a 'dumb' ETH token (one with limited functionality beyond 'being a token').
As of now, you are unable to sell SPARC on any exchange. If you do withdraw it, be very careful that your ETH wallet of choice supports ERC20 tokens or your SPARC will be lost.
They do not backpay credits, instead paying out your share of SPARC based on the extra credits you earned the past week. Payouts are scheduled for every Sunday, but they have not been consistent so it looks like the process is not yet automated. Alternatively, maybe they are waiting on all the project servers to come online to allow stats to be gathered before they pay out.

Hi and thanks alot for the info, do you know when this will be withdrawable from the pool site ? just checked out the Sparc website, looks pretty cool but most coins do have a cool website :)

Bgb, the pool programmer and operator, is already open to sending you your SPARC now manually if you really want it. He is working on automating it, but the gas fee is a big problem to address, especially as SPARC is still worth nothing.
I put what he told me in an edit at the bottom of the OP for others to read, and gas is what he addressed as a problem as well
You can try and ask the pool operator on facebook, he is pretty responsive, ill ask him though and see what he says.
