Halloween with the Gangestad's

in #halloween5 years ago

Happy Friday everyone! Last night was Halloween and at our house that means hosting family for an evening of food, drinks and trick-or-treating. This year we were joined by my brother Zak, brother Austin @intothewild, his wife Elise and their two kids Deya and Hayek.

My wife made an amazing lasagna and pasta dish and we had an assortment of beers as well as spiked hot cider.

Halloween in Minnesota can be a real crap shoot. Some years we have nice fall weather in the 50's and 60's, other years like in 1991 when I was a little guy we had 3 feet of snow! This year was supposed to be really cold, around 26 degrees. We bundled up the kids and put their costumes over so they would stay warm. The weather was cold but didn't get down to 26. It was more like mid 30's.

The kids were dressed up as a skeleton unicorn, a pumpkin, an Elsa. My wife went as a cat and I was a banana because that's what the kids requested. After two hours of trick-or-treating the kids took home a haul of candy!

Here are a couple pictures from our night.
