It literally takes nothing to happiness.

How long have you been searching for happiness? When was the last time you felt happy and serene? How do you perceive happiness and How far happiness is?

The quest for happiness is as old as humanity itself. Through years each person’s ultimate endeavour is to feel happy and content. No matter what exactly he sought after, it would lead him eventually to happiness.
For each civilization and geographical territory people were on their quest for happiness. Through this quest others managed to reach power, control and money by convincing people that they held keys to ultimate, everlasting happiness.

Some people are searching for happiness in power; others search in fame, others in wealth, health, religion and relationships. Some take pride in their ethnicity, others in their colour, others in wealth, others in religions and others in the sports team they feel to belong to.

The irony is that among all this chaos happy people do exist with no sign of owning any of what others believe is important for happiness. Those happy people aren’t even noticed because they live simply and have no tendency to brag about anything and this is part of why they are happy.

Let yourself understand that happiness is the natural state of being. If you don’t believe try remembering when you were a kid just before you taught that you need this or that to be happy. Happiness for you lied then in the simplest of things or in nothing at all. Then you start learning about money, relationships, fame and other things and you innocently tied happiness to these things. Society kept emphasizing that without these things you will become miserable and you became.

Actually it works in the opposite way; the more you seek in life the less you feel happy. And the good feeling you get directly after reaching what you want doesn’t come necessarily from what you reached rather it comes because you finally discarded the desire to reach it. So, what about not developing the desire in the first place?

What you need now is to unlearn what you have been taught about happiness, to train yourself to untie happiness from both material and immaterial things and just let it be, to get closer and closer to whom you truly were before conditioning, to be kind to yourself and to know that you are worthy the way you are and no external thing can affect your worthiness. There is no effort for happiness because happiness is as close as what you believe.

Really good post. So true !! We have limited time here. So we should try not to waist it being unhappy.

Thank you, we actually should not.

Thanks! This post made my day! Happiness is about being thankful and accepting yourself..

This is so true! Awesome post to read first thing in the morning. Thank you

Happy morning and thanks :)

Nice post and good points. I think for me I do not look for "Happiness" necessarily. Instead I go for "Joy ". Imho, they can be different. "Happiness" is something you feel when things work out just like you planned or worked towards. Whereas "Joy" is something that is deeper and more spiritual in that you have "Joy" even when you may not be "Happy " :)

You are completely correct, Joy is more deeper. will speak about joy in upcoming posts. thanks for the addition and good day.

Look forward to those upcoming posts. You too as well :)

It's marvelous post, Thank you for sharing.

You are welcome Yahooooooo :)

What a beautiful and a thoughtful post thanks for sharing @alignment :)

It's makes me wonder what true happiness means when I see your pic

Good, when you find a meaning of happiness based on the pic let me know and we will discuss it.

People who have less tend to be easier and more happy then people who have for example a lot of money. Happniess is such an essential and needed thing, it's too sad that a lot of people lose the real meaning of it on their search.

that's entirely true :). Money doesn't grant they happiness.

That's it. Money can make your life easier, but it does not make you happy. Happiness is something you get mostly through other things :)

Nice post, great message.

It's interesting to see the use of many words, in the comments, trying to explain life's optimal feeling. 'Happyness', 'joy', 'Thankfulness', etc..

My feeling is that it is not so much how the world deals with you but how you deal with the world. For me the key is acceptence. Just came through a 3 week life lesson where acceptence helped with the ride . 😎

The point about unlearning is such a strong thing. Very nicely and well formulated.
Happines can be so simple and pure. Thank you for a great thoughts.☺

You welcome. And thank you for stopping by.🙂

Thanks a lot! This post was very positive and brightened up my day :D Yep, happiness is all about perception =]
