Hey guys!
In this post are 3 reasons why you should not buy or build a pc now. I can only speak for March 2018 and maybe the prices fall in April 2018.
First 'GPU Prices'
As you you problably have seen the prices for GPUs have raised very much in the last 2-3 months.
For example the Zotac Nvidia Geforce 1050Ti Mini:
(all prices in EUR; all prices from germany)
Lowest Price 1^st^ December 2017 | Lowest Price 1^st^ March 2018 | price raise |
---|---|---|
148,98€ | 179,15€ | 20,25% |
As you can see it raised more than 1/5 of the original price and myself got this videocard in juli 2017 for 140€.
Second 'New Hardware'
There are many rumors that Nvidia will introduce their new GPU generation next week on the GTC. Its codename wil be, if the rumors are right, Nvidia Turing and not Ampere or Volta.
So note you the dates 26^th^-29^th^ March in your calendar down.
AMD will release on April 12^th^ their new Ryzen CPUs and then might be a good point to buy a new CPU whether a Intel CPU or a AMD CPU.

Third 'RAM Prices'
With the RAM prices it is the same as with the GPU prices but since December 2017 are the prices relatively stable with around 80€ for an 8GB kit DDR4.
And another example:
8GB Crucial Ballistix Sport DDR4-2400 (BLS8G4D240FSC)
(all prices in EUR; all prices from germany)
Lowest price 1^st^ August 2016 | Lowest price 1^st^ November 2016 | price raise |
---|---|---|
30,38€ | 39,59€ | 30,32% |
As I said before the prices are stable on a high price and since December they are not raising or falling so I would wait some time to buy RAM.
