Waikiki Spinsters

Well, not exactly a spinster. But we did spin.

Aloha Steemies,
On the weekend we rented some of the Biki Bicycles, an initiative by Bike Share Hawaii. We rode our way from Ala Moana Beach Park all the way down to Waikiki Beach.

Cue Photoshoot..

It was such a fun way to get around and spend some time on a nice sunny day. We got to see a bit more of this new place we live in. Burned some calories at the same time, and it was CHEAP! $3.50 per half hour - #bargain. All in all a win-win.
Side note: Speaking of bargains (I am a self proclaimed bargain hunter). I've been buying all new clothes for like 12 bucks! TJ Maxx I love you (we don't have it in Australia).

So, here's what you should know about Biki! Each Biki station has a kiosk where you can buy a single ride or a Free Spirit Pass which is 300 minutes for $20. But we ended up downloading the app. There were more options and you can unlock the bikes with your phone!

You can do a single ride, 300 minute pass, or else a $15 Monthly which gave you UNLIMITED rides up for 30 minutes for a month, or the $25 Monthly which gives you unlimited rides up to 60 minutes. We chose the $15 plan. And it can be a one off so no contracts! We couldn't believe how cheap it actually is to use.

Seen above: impeccable modelling skills.

I actually love the idea of Bike Share. It's economically more friendly, saves you the price of gas and maintenance, and sculpts your thighs and butt lol. FEEEEEL THE BURRRRN.

I think it's really important to try and be more active. My boyfriend and I have office jobs and even though we do go to the gym a few times a week, adding in a ride to and/or from work a few days a week or just taking a bike out on the weekend would help so much with overall health! The stations seem to be everywhere and it's really convenient.

One last one... ;)

See you in my next post!
