BULINIA NERVOSA
Bulinia Nervosa is an eating disorder characterized by excessive over eating such as forced vomitting exercise. Men and women who suffer from Bulinia Nervosa also have fear over weight and are always unhappy with their body seize and weight. Most of such people suffer from obesity.
EFFECT OF BULINIA NERVOSA
The effect of Bulinia Nervosa include:
- Gastro- intestinal problems
- Hydration
- Heart difficulties that result from electrolyte imbalance.
BINGE EATING DISORDER
Individual who suffers from Binge eating disorder usually loose control over his/her eating habit. People suffering from this are obese and have the risk of developing cardiovascular diseases and they may also experience intense feeling of guilt, distress and embarrassment.
CAUSES
The exact cause of eating disorder is unknown but can be caused by these three factors which include:
- Psycological factor that causes
- irregular hormone functions
- Nutrional differences
- Environmental factors which causes
- Dysfunctional family
- Sexual abuse and trauma
- Cultural or peer pressure amidst friends.
- Biological factor.
ANAROXIA NERVOSA
Individual sufferring from these havr obsessive fear of gaining weight. They limit the quality of food they eat and build their self as over-weight even when they are clearly underweight examples are Models, Dancers, Swimmers, Wrestlers e.t.c.
EFFECT
It has many effect such as
- Brain damage
- Organ failure
- Heart difficulty
-Infertility - Sometimes death.
TREATMENT FOR EATING DISORDER
Treatment include:
- Medical care and monitoring for addressing any health issues arising from the eating diorder behaviour
- Good and stabilized nutrition for restoring weight and provision of guidiance
- Placing patients under therapy to help patient recover from trauma and learn hoe to live healthier
- Medication to help resolve mood and anxiety symptoms
