Turning Pages

in #health2 months ago

The UK weather has finally been improving over the past month, and with that, I have achieved Higher step counts, shed more weight, and spent more time outdoors. I stepped into spring after a tough but fresh winter months of early 2026, I set goals and got my life more on track and for the most part it went well. Going into spring and the hotter months, life is still financially tricky, but I aim to stay positive and appreciate all the little things I'm doing that are not only cost-free but improving my health both physically and mentally.

I am, Turning Pages

$1

My social battery is doing very well. I am spending far more time Networking, catching up with friends and building an online presence. My 2026 goals have been steadily staying on track, and my health is doing much better. I have lost 10kg in 3 months.

Sometimes I have a bad day, but that is normal; everyone has a bad day. Life won't always go your way, and for me, the big thing is Money. Sure, it is not everything, but money is something you depend on, and things like debt, cost of living and fearing about my future are just chronic things that I will always worry about. It's just how my mind works. To combat this chronic thinking, my goals and small wins come into play; they give my mind a break and something else to focus on. Reading, for example, those 15-20 minutes I spend every so often turning pages closes my mind and instead focuses on taking in a fresh story. Achieving 10k steps a day forces me to go outside and avoid being left alone, so my mind doesn't spiral. Writing allows me to get everything out of my mind and onto something else, and when it looks good for me, I post it just like this post today, tomorrow and whenever.

I leave this post here for today. Thank you for having a read, have a great day.

Good to hear that you are doing well... Of course, there are always bumps on the road, sometimes small ones, sometimes big ones... But, just like you said, those small steps and small wins are what are making the progress... Step by step, covering the basic things, to pushing the bar higher and higher... Unfortunately, money is important for moving forward, but it's important not to have only money on our goal list! Good for you to focus on reading and physical activity!

How's the Alice Cooper book? He always seemed like a smart guy even if he went through some addiction issues. I've heard he's a pretty good golfer.

It's tough when the money is tight, but I saw you have been adjusting your spending. Time to focus on what really matters. Walking is free and reading can be fairly cheap. I like both.

I am really enjoying the book. I actually stumbled on it by chance as I was considering going to his Book tour for his new book memoir that comes out later this year and whilst reading up I found he had written a book previously.

Overall a fun read as I tick over the halfway point of the book.

Adjusting spending, spending less but also focusing on what I enjoy.
