I am writing this post to help a friend and colleague who is currently in need of financial assistance. Although I could not donate much myself to help completely fund his treatment and surgeries, I figured I could at least raise some awareness and use the resources I have available to me to help him raise some of the funds to support his medical needs. What better way to use these resources then to help someone in need.
He has always been a good friend to me and any help the community can provide in the form of upvotes, resteeming, or donations would be appreciated. Any funds in the form of SBD that are received from this post will be immediately sent to Glenn on behalf of the Steemit community after they are paid out in 7 days. I will post a screenshot with the donation once it is made - regardless of how much it is.

Greetings!
I am appealing to your kindness and generosity to help me meet my medical needs and get some badly needed treatment for my eyes, liver and kidneys.
The photos are the last of me in good health. Then I was 175 lbs., had perfect eyesight and was having a good job. My medical problems started with Type 2 diabetes in late 2015 when my blood sugar surged to 440 mmol/L requiring insulin treatment instead of Metformin.It is now 285mmol/L after the doctor increased the dosage to 6 units Apidra during mealtimes and 12 unit of Lantus before bed. Also -
- In November 2015, I had a mild stroke which left my right eye blind followed by a gradual dimness in my left. I consulted with my diabetologist who referred me to ophthalmologist who recommended I see a retina specialist. His diagnosis was acute proliferate retinopathy due to nerve growth that pushed my right eye retina out of place while and recommended laser treatments for my left eye and surgery for my right
- In June 2016, I had laser session to trim proliferate nerve growth in my left eye which restored 80% of my vision. Later the same month I had surgery to put my right eye retina back in place followed by a laser session to trim nerve growth.
- In January 2017, restorative surgery was done on my right eye to remove the silicon oil placed in earlier surgery and to implant a lens, restoring 20% vision to my right eye. However new test show I need a lens upgrade.
- In May 2017, new nerve growth on my left eye dropped my vision back to 60%. In June that dropped further to 40% causing me to see only light and shadows.
- Also in September 2016, after several CT scans, ultrasounds and other tests showed I developed hepatic liver cirrhosis even though I never smoked, drank alcohol or had hepatitis before and was placed on Entecavir to contain the virus and Ketosteril to lower creatinine. In June 2017, the doctor increased Ketosteril dosage and added Kremezin when creatinine level remain over 300 mmol/L and warned that the next step if this fails is dialysis in August.
- In November 2016, I developed ascites as a result of my cirrhosis. My stomach and legs filled with fluid it became difficult, lie on my back, walk and then breathe. In February 2017, I had to undergo paracentesis to drain 11.2 liters then in May to drain 7.5 liters. My gastroenterologist also placed me on Propanolol thrice a day and Livamin to control liver pressure and increase albumin production to slow down swelling. He also placed me on diuretics and limited my water intake to 600ml a day.
- In December 2016, my kidneys were diagnosed to have chronic kidney disease (CKD) stage 5. In June 2017, my nephrologist warned I had borderline between stage 5 and 6 and if my creatinine level is high, I would need dialysis.
Today, I am jobless, unable to work, at, 60% blind, on a no salt, no fat diet, weigh 90 lbs. and am out of funds after exhausting my savings in medication and treatment
- I badly need to have an eye operation to trim new nerve growth on both eyes and upgrade the lens implanted on my right or face permanent blindness.
- My stomach needs to be drained by the end of July or early August and in October or early November or fluid build-up will further distend my stomach and spread to my legs and other parts of my body making it hard to walk, lie on my back and eventually breathe.
- I may need to start dialysis for my CKD if my creatinine and blood sugar remain high by August.
- I need to continue lifelong liver and diabetic medications or risk developing hepatitis B and other complications. I especially cannot make do without insulin (Apidra and Lantus), Propanalol, Livamin, Kremezin and Ketosteril, and Entecavir.
- I need to see a biliary surgeon about my gallstones which was detected June 2017
So I am at your mercy and my life is in your hands. No help is ever too small or insignificant and anything and everything you can give will be deeply appreciated.

I have so far received over $1,000 in direct deposit donations which has greatly helped my medication needs especially now that I am in Stage 6 of my chronic kidney disease and my creatinine and blood sugar have spiked to all time highs.
But there is still more to be done and I am at my wits end trying to find funds. Already my living room furniture is gone so is my microwave and several beds, my wife and kids have been sleeping on the floor. My son hasn't enrolled yet and is trying to find work. My youngest has to wake up and leave the house at 3:30am in the morning in order to make it to school by 7am and it will be a challenge for her sister who hasn't enrolled yet.
Please help
His goal is to raise the necessary $50,000 USD, however that is a far far stretch. My goal is to help him as much as possible even if it means donating only a few dollars of earnings from this post and my influence - I have submitted my balance of 10 Whaleshares to help contribute to funding this. I have also asked him to share with me some additional pictures and his medical documents for me to add to this post, so more to come.

then i got this at the end line like this
