🏒 Those who suffer from this disorder panic buildings. 🏒

It is a kind of panic or phobia that is rarely talked about, although since its inception horror literature, such as The Fall of the House Usher by Edgar Allan Poe, and many stories by Lovecraft, has dealt with this disturbing unrest before certain buildings.

It is a limiting fear that prevents those who suffer from being alone inside a building or even simply enter it. We can suppose that it is a fear that is still present, because many recent movies of the genre deal with the subject. Among them can be cited Warren File: The Conjuring or It follows.
As with most phobias, the most common cause is double. It begins with feeling uneasiness at some stage of life and then that anxiety is associated with a specific home. Then, in a second phase, the affected begins to avoid the houses in general, and that makes them more and more afraid of them. In a few occasions the domatofobia comes from a specific traumatic experience.
It should not be confused with the apprehension about closed spaces -which is called claustrophobia-, since those who suffer from domatofobia fear the house as to being, not to feel locked in certain rooms of reduced size.
