coffee seed in pharmacopeia (a book containing directions for the identification of compound medicines, and published by the authority of a government or a medical or pharmaceutical society ) , is a dried seed of coffearabiacae .
From Family : Rubiacae
And This plant is native to Ethiopia and Sudan in Africa and also stretches its origin in regions like Madagascar, Mauritius, and Comoros.

The active constituents in coffee seed are
-Purina alkaloid ( caffeiene )
-chlorogenic acid
-fats and sugar
-caffeol oil which is responsible for Aroma odour
and the main active constituent is Purina alkaloid ( caffeiene )

How coffee is prepared from coffee seed ?
1-fermentation of seed which takes about 3 to 9 days
and during fermentation liquid drains and colour is acquired .
2-Roasting the seed to acquire the odour .

How elephants are used for fermentation stage ?
