Chickweed are very high in vitamins and minerals. Chickweed are Ascorbic-acid, Beta-carotene, Calcium, Coumarins, Genistein, Gamma-linolenic-acid, Flavonoids, Hentriacontanol, Magnesium, Niacin, Oleic-acid, Potassium, Riboflavin, Rutin, Selenium, Triterpenoid saponins, Thiamin, and Zinc. The whole plant is used in alternative medicine as an astringent, carminative, demulcent, diuretic, expectorant, laxative, refrigerant, vulnerary.

Medicinal tea: To 1 tbls. dried herb, 2 if fresh, add 1 cup boiling water steep for 10 min. Take in 1/2 cup doses 2 to 4 times daily, during a cold or flu.

Interesting. I'll have to give this one a try. I've had a chronic cough since 2012 and no one can figure out the cause. I've been to four doctors about it (including two specialists), and consulted a medical medium. I've done all different kinds of medications and herbs (recommended by the medium), as well as some herbs I've researched myself. So far, the thing that works best is simple over-the-counter cough medicine and cough drops. I've been scanned, x-rayed, scoped, and blood tested. It's all still a mystery.
I'm getting tested for environmental allergies in a couple of weeks. Maybe that will provide some answers.
That is rough I'm sorry, I hope you can get that taken care off. I did write a blog on S.O.S. Ionic Sliver it does help with coughs. I think you can just order it from the web site I left on there, I just get from my local health food store. thanks and good luck
I've been taking colloidal silver every day for two or three years now. Is the ionic better or different in any way?
