Hi, guys!
Today I spoke to my doctor who returned to work after 3 days off. All these three days I have been receiving new treatment and it seems that I am beginning to see improvements from it. Now, when doctors at their workplaces before the New Year will sharply increase my dose, let's see how it ends, but it should end well. I really wanted to be discharged on the 1st in order to get home safely and did not want to leave without traffic jams on 31st, but it turned out that the doctor was planning to let me go only on New Year's, and then ask to come back. Of course it upset me a lot. Well, what can I do, I will only have to sit here for a few days.
As I said now, I am in the process of changing the standards of a normotimic drug, this group includes drugs such as valproic acid, lamotrigine, carbamazepine, and lithium. If earlier I was on milder normotimics, now it's time to try a harder one. In fact, lithium has always been a first-order drug in the treatment of bipolar disorder. However, the doctor and I did not try it because of the difficulties with taking it: you need to constantly monitor the level of blood products, and besides, in the country in which I live, it is quite problematic to get it. But since my condition deteriorated greatly, we had to take such measures.
And it turns out that on the 1st, I will have the eighth day of taking the drug, and the norm of lithium in the blood is reached for 9 days, after which I need to take a blood test for the concentration of the drug in the blood. That is, I was asked, in fact, to stay until the third day approximately. Of course, it upset me a lot, I really planned to leave 1, but it's better than you go home for a few days to believe that everything is fine and return to these cold walls again. I'm not kidding about the cold walls, it's really awful here, it's cold, very high ceilings and very small radiators. In two sweaters and under two blankets, I still continue to freeze.
But anyway, the holidays are coming soon, I decided to supplement this post with a funny picture. I want to note right away that it is not mine, I just found it on the Internet. The picture says "we found this in your head." Now I feel about the same, and by the way, I have a friend who from early childhood said that he had such a monkey in his head, and this explains all his actions. I think this is funny. I really hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and wish you a wonderful New Year.
See you in the next post!
Love, Inber
