Human Habits Or Addiction ?

in #health7 years ago (edited)

Humans are very much habitual creatures and tend to integrate there habits into their standard of living, activities as well as culture and different rituals.
Things ranging from certain kinds of food, to drugs or simple materials is always, and have always been integrated inside human nature.
We currently live in a modern age in human history and we still put these things into every day of our lives.
One has another habit than one's neighbor's.
Thus making a habit unique on a personal level, at times, it can even get to an extreme.
We, as a modernized society, still having a close relation to our habits whether it's praying for religious purposes, doing drugs for recreational or medical uses.
But as we modernized our standard of living we also expanded our views on different things.
Even our prejudice-ism has been expanded.
What is important to remember is that when a habit get's to the extremes , then you'll have problems.
Then you will probably be addicted to a certain thing that you used to do.
What's also important to keep in mind is that this applies for everything.
I think we tend to forget that in this modern society.
I think we actually demonize, shame and look down on people that needs our help.
Switching words to for example junkie, alcoholic or even pothead, using it as the same word as Addict is absurd.
My point being we degrade people and putting them in boxes, in regards to things that we as a "united" society see as ok or bad.
Of course it's not just for drug users.
As I mentioned earlier you can apply this to all cases of addictions.
This is a HEALTH ISSUE.
It is not something to be ashamed of, but it is something to work on and recover from.
Being addicted to something is just as natural as the trees and grass we walk on.
However I will not be drawing any conclusions but instead let You guys on steemit draw your own.

It's crazy how many people in the world suffer this, we ourselves are addictive beings. Doesn't matter if its a drug or not. Using the internet is a substitute for a drug.
It's crazy how it changes.

Yeah totally man!
But many people don't really like thinking like that for some reason.

Humans adopt to whatever environment they're given. We learn everything right or wrong good or bad. Addiction is one such thing and it's both dependency and habit.

Yeah pretty much.
