Child's sleeping problems is one big challenge which usually parents have to tackle. Parents do get many sleepless nights because of the sleeping problems of their little one.

Sleep is very essential for leading to a healthy life. It allows the body to rest, and maintain good mental and physical health. It's also vital for our brain development, during this time our brain consolidates and organizes the day's event. Adequate sleep hours allows us to be more efficient and energetic the next day. If sleep is extremely important for adults, you can imagine how important it's for babies which are still growing.

Sleep is crucial piece in the development of babies. Their brain require it to develop properly and their bodies to grow. When babies sleep, they restore their energy, their bodies releases growth hormones, and they consolidate the day's findings. Sleeping helps them wake up ready to explore their surroundings, it also gives them enough energy to move and crawl around. It also helps them be happy and in good spirit. Good sleep changes their behaviour with others, its amazing to see how well they act if they get enough sleep. Lack of sleep can really hamper their mood and also the bonding with the parents and others.

According to various researches they found that the sleeping range for babies that are 10-12 months old is between 12-15 hours. As all the babies are different, so some babies do sleep less, between 11-13 hours and others more up to 19 hours a day. Experts don't recommend that your little one sleeps over or below this 11-19 hours range. If your child is sleeping more, you can try shortening the naps so that he receives enough stimulation during the day; if the child sleeps less then try to work on the sleeping routine. If you still face issues with the sleeping routine of your child its always recommended to consult a paediatrician, they can guide you and show you the right direction.
