Good post and great tips. A couple of thing I would add to your list: stretching neck and shoulder area and getting a massage regularly. These things helped my wife a lot who earlier suffered a lot from headaches.

@writemore great post ,your writeup is 100% right.

very useful information .. thanks for the shared

What has helped me is to go out and walk. Enjoying the weather and taking it all in gives me peace of mind and I get a nice dose of fresh air. I haven't had headaches since.

Hi @writemore. This is a really good checklist. I'm a health practitioner specialising in the treatment of headaches & migraines. At the request of one of my clients and fellow Steemian @sift66 I'm currently doing a series of posts about how to reduce & eliminate the kinds of pain I've been treating on a weekly basis for the past 20 years.

My first post in the series last week was specifically about how to sort out posture problems related to long hours working at computers. So I agree with you - posture is key!

Check out the posts and follow me if you like for more coming up this month on how to do self-treatment techniques.

great post enjoys meeting you @writemore

good clue post

Great tips!!
I have a further suggestion which has worked for me. These include a series of neck exercises. I do each exercise 10 times, and they include turning your head from side to side, tipping it from side to side, tipping your chin up and down, followed by neck rolls in both directions. Finally shoulder rolls, individually, then both together. Follow with a further session an hour later if headache is still niggling
I know it's probably not suitable for everyone, but it works for me. I can literally hear the crystals crackling in my neck with the neck rolls, and feel the muscles relaxing.
