HOW SAYING THANK YOU ''GRATITUDE'' GUARANTEES HEALING, SCIENTIFICALLY PROVEN.

Little do we know about the influence of these simple words we make use of each day ‘’THANK YOU’’. It is a psycho physiological process that works as a chain reaction encompassing the heart, the mind and the brain. And since the heart is the central regulatory organ, it serves to absorb the wordings ‘’thank you’’ and transform it to a unique sensation directed to the brain faculty of analysis through the nervous system. The mind works in a tip-tap orientation where information takes milliseconds to be analyzed, expressed and manifested, and the individual will feel a sense of belonging, appreciated, welcomed and happy.

THANK YOU has a great value on one's health, it is a golden word which has the potential of ensuring internal peace and healing as confirmed by an experiment conducted in Hong Kong with a cardiac patient (asymptomatic heart failure) where feelings of love and gratitude were employed to cure the illness, a grateful heart is a healthier heart. However, this study reveals that patients with higher gratitude scores had better mood, high quality sleep and less inflammation.

Science has begun to figure out exactly how gratitude works and why it improves both psychological and physiological indicators. The neurotransmitter called dopamine has a level of influence on being grateful, and people with higher dopamine have easier time feeling grateful and vice versa and this is indicative in parkinsonism, where an individual tends to forget most things he should be grateful for or people to appreciate.

Ordinarily, ‘’thank you’’ a form of gratitude, strengthens the heart, the mind, the body and the soul, maintaining happiness and well being. The way we humans lived our life can be transformed if only we can acknowledge the relevance of ‘’thank you’’, being thankful for things you have and appreciating both the goods and bad, it ensures a longer and healthier life. Always spare some minutes to think about things to be grateful for as it to a great extent nourish the soul and pays healthy life.

Despite the already mentioned impacts of this simple words ‘’thank you’’, I want to further list other benefits of this gratitude sentence which has some motivational influence on humans generally and will trigger you to be thankful, although it is one of the most overlooked tool that we all have access to everyday, and it certainly doesn’t cost any money and surely does not take much time, and its benefits are enormous as seen below;

  1. THANK YOU PAVES THE WAY TO MORE RELATIONSHIPS: Aside the fact that it’s a form of good mannerism, it tends to enable us win new friends, for example, thanking a stranger for any single aid offered can contribute to new opportunity of friendship.

  2. THANK YOU IMPROVES PHYSICAL AND PSYCHOLOGICAL HEALTH: It severs as an antidote to multitude of toxic emotions, ranging from envy and resentment to frustration and regret. Grateful people experience fewer aches and pains and are always healthier than other people and these contribute to their longevity.

  3. THANK YOU ENHANCES EMPATHY AND REDUCES AGGRESSION: Grateful people are less likely to retaliate when even offended, they tend to possess higher fortitude than others, having more sensitivity and empathy towards other people and having less desire for revenge.

  4. THANK YOU ENSURES BETTER SLEEP: Spend few minutes jotting grateful sentiments before going to bed and you may sleep better and longer, (scientifically proven).

  5. THANK YOU HAS A DEGREE OF INFLEUNCE ON SELF ESTEEM: Grateful people always cultivate the habit of appreciating other peoples accomplishments, rather than being sentimental towards others greatness which in turn boost one’s self esteem.

  6. THANK YOU INCREASES MENTAL STRENGTH: Gratitude fosters resilience, and do not only reduce stress but also play a major role in overcoming trauma.

  3. It increases spiritualism and makes us les self centered.
  4. It is an essential tool in networking

Every human has the ability to say THANK YOU, be appreciative to whatever comes, whosoever does good or even bad to us, Always cultivate the habit of focusing on the things you have rather than complain about the things you think you deserve. You can always make a thank you note or a gratitude journal as a means of cultivating gratitude.

One more fact is certain, boss and managers who don’t realize the effect of gratitude might suffer the risk of ruining his establishment, because the employees morale may be ruined, networking and communication may be ineffective and these might drag a company or firm to a stop.
