Henna is a dye prepared from the plant Lawsonia inermis, also known as hina, the henna tree, the mignonette tree, the Egyptian privet, and on gaca in Acehnese language, the sole species of the Lawsonia genus. Read :Wikipedia

A traditional wedding procession in some area in Indonesia admit the usage of henna as one of marriage ritual. It known as boh gaca tradition.

In terms of the perspective of its history , customary of boh gaca native of india brought to aceh since the days of hinduism and passed by the muslims of gujarat who living in aceh.

Boh gaca done before marriage agreement held. Henna leaves symbolize wife as a solace as well as jewelry for her husband.

The bride who used inai or gaca is a bride who still virgin.If the widow to be married no longer carried out the event boh gaca . Boh gaca only done to the girl who will mated or on her first marriage .To second marital , third , and so on no longer held the event boh gaca.
