My mother and I used to encapsulate herbs. Yes, very time consuming but you know what you're getting! What are the best brands in your opinion that are less likely to have been exposed to a long shelf life?

I buy powders only from Starwest and Frontier and only directly from them. Anybody redistributing could have had it on their shelves too long. Some herbs I cannot buy powders, so I powder them myself. My herb grinder won't grind as fine, but for making tinctures it still gives me the consistentency in potency that I need. I posted an article today on another adaptogen and reference it as a powder for smoothies in the last paragraph. It is available from Starwest as a powder. Did you get a chance to see that article?
