I don't know about ya'll but I love seeing things from waaaaaaaaaaaaay back when. It totally fascinates me! It does my dad too, so when he this replica of one of the older Sears Roebuck Catalogues came into his possession he just had to show it to me.
We sat there going through page after page, just awed by what was in it and the price differences from then to now. If this doesn't show folks how worthless a dollar is now, in comparison, I don't know what would.
Well, I'm just gonna drop in some pics for you to enjoy.
Camping anyone?
Need deck out that new ride?
Cupping...it wasn't just for the olympians and evidently, they were already making women worry over wrinkles before infomercials!
Need a new gun? Got $2.34?
The Johnny Jump-Up isn't even new! They were busy putting babies in doorways even back then! ha ha
Need to trap a critter on the homestead? Goldmine!
Need an American flag? Our coffee costs more now...IF the valuation were the same.
I may post more at a later date. Just thought you all might enjoy the little flashback in time.
