On this day May 2, 1945, the world applauded Soviet Union had taken the Reichstag, waved their flag and the allies won the second world war.

The battle of Berlin, or was called by the soviets as Berlin strategic offensive operation which later was the fall of berlin. It started in April 16 1945 and ended on May 2 1945 it had shown to the world that the tyranny of the Nazi Regime and their allies can be defeated by union of countries fighting to yearn for freedom and liberty.

Following the successful defeats of allied powers both in western and eastern front. Nazi regime were pushed back to their capital city and form there defended it until their crushing defeat. But before that. On april 29, 1945 Eva braun and the Fuhrer himself were married in a small civil ceremony in the map room inside the bunker. Since the whole city was bombarded by allied air force. Hitler together with his wife Eva, together with their personal staffs, Goebbels, Bormann (hitler's secretary) wer in the bunker.

With the successful attacks of the Red army in south, north and eastern side (tho suffering with lots of casualties) had successfully conquered the major areas and by April 27, Berlin was cut off from the rest pf the country. Radio communications had been lost and the only way to provide orders and instructions were from local radio stations and telephone lines. Heinrich Himmler had offered to surrender to western allies but the offer was declined. Himmler later was captured and he himself took suicide through cyanide poisoning.
Meanwhile in the Fuhrer bunker after hitler and eva braun were married, the furher took secretary Traudl Junge to another room to discusss his last willing testament. One of the instructions to be carried out were Joseph Goebbels assume Hitler’s role as head of state and chancellor respectively.

It is unclear as to whether or how Hitler died, some sources said that he took cyanide poisoning while other sources dictates that he followed pistol-and-poison method as he asked his Physician Dr. Werner Haase about the most reliable method of suicide. At around 14:30 Hitler appeared in the corridor to bid farewell. Walked in the line and shook hands to all of them and together with Eva Hitler went into Hitler’s personal study.
It is unclear as to “adolf hitler” himself committed suicide some had stated that he fled to La palda, argentina where nazi influence is open and such. Dead or not, it represented that even the strongest of tyranny can be crushed with the will of a hundred thousand people who fights for their loved ones and yearns freedom. The second world war clearly showed us that War has no winning side. Both sides suffered heavy casualties and had left the country in its state of collapse in terms of economy and infrastructure. THANKS TO THOSE BRAVE MEN AND WOMEN WHO WILLINGLY FIGHT TO END THE TYRANNY OF ONE OF THE GREAT DICTATOR IN THE 20TH CENTURY.
